My PS3 possible freeze/crash fix

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 4:08 pm

FWIW I had some freezing/crashing issues right out of the box, but over the weekend I had several 3+ hour runs without so much as a hiccup. The only thing I did different was turn off the PipBoy radio. I also noticed on my PC version of FO3 it runs considerably slower with the radio on. I applied that theory to my PS3 and havent had an issue yet. Just thought I would pass it along.

Yeah that helped some people on Fallout 3.
I just turn off auto save, don't use the pitboy radio and for some cases don't use the pitboy light. Atleast not too often.

I got two save files with a total of around 40 hours or so. The game only crashed 3 times and 1-2 second freezes every 30 seconds or so.
I can deal with that just like I did with Fallout 3.
