Don't try this on hardcoe

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 10:39 pm

I exchanged all my SM chips at the casino before starting the second half. I was also addicted to buffout and mentats. It was a night mare to finish. I could barely find enough caps and old colthes to purchase enough pills to keep going, You wont find them just laying around, pluse the fact that it seemed like they would run out in the middle of trying to get past a hard part every time,(blurred vision decreased strength , and there goes my head.

The DLC is the exact same on hardcoe, I went through it easily.

Though maybe it seemed easy because I only play hardcoe, meh.

So it was hard because you developed an addiction to drugs? How is that DM's fault?

Psycho (Med-X, Buffout, Mentats, etc.) is a helluva drug...

But Seriously, once you reach the SM Casino, you should try to break the bank, that should score you enough chips to fuel your addiction...

PeterF No no ones fault but my own. I don't reload to get a better play, I play whatever happens, sometimes things don't work out how I want, and I go on it is a result of my actions in the game.

Derragorn I cashed in all my SM chips after Almost breaking the casino...So I could come back and REALLY BREAK it, 5000 first run 7500 the second, plus what I found and had not spent I had 118,000 cash in. In prewar money that's about 550,000 caps :celebration:

Sure it's hard and the screwupa in gameplay design and attempting a "horror" feel are amplified but hey that's what you signed up for.

I'd suggest playing hard instead of very hard as I find the difficulty settings useless in gauging you. They don't increase the intelligence or skills of enemies, just stats. Which I guess strikes as an RPG mechanic and as if the AI could get tougher without an artificial stat boost on this revision of the engine.

If your playing on PC try setting the HUD off. It's really more beneficial to gameplay than hardcoe modes arbituary "realism" will ever be.

Of coarse your not really looking for a solution, just warning. Fair enough.

Still hey I guess if you want it hardcoe modes there and will challenge you much more than the Mojave did.
