Intelligence? : Fallout: New Vegas

I need to up my intelligence by three or so to do the first mission for the king, hire that guy to walk me through freeside protected.

Where are super mentats or how else can I up my intelligence?

If you have 30 medicine, you can examine the bodies. If not, you can shoot one of them.

you gotta love Fallout's logic, low intelligence but have 100 medicine & Science, anyways you can also have a high speech too if i remember i right.

false, there is no speech check, there is a barter check thou (I believe 45) to get some money AFTER you found out about the fraud. Just shoot the guys who are laying down there.
