Dead Money For Level 20+ Toons!?!?

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 12:55 am

So I started a new toon to play Dead Money and got over to the entrance at level 4. I went in even though the game warns you the area is for 20+ level toons. I have been playing around with the initial quests and seem to be doing OK.

Am I going to hit a wall here where I really need to be level 20 or what? I dont want to waste too much time.

Thanks for your time.

The main thing is the hard/very hard locks and terminals. Also you'll need I think 75 speech/ barter at the end or you're [censored].

I beat it pretty easily at 13, only issue was the lack of health items(which I think would be a problem at any level). Having such low skills, mainly science and repair, is going to make some parts very, very difficult because you're going to end up having to do things the hard way instead of just skill checking your way past obstacles. Probably doable if you're careful to look for bear traps and are patient to look for alternate ways to do things.

Good luck.

Depend if you are on hardcoe or not; but at low level, like pks said, you would have much less options to do quest than actually dieing from it. In hardcoe, 90% of the Villa area would poison you slowly, so at higher levels you would have a easier time.

Toon?

Yeah, i dislike that way of referencing player character too.

Well, since my current character will never get that high levels in any of those skills, might as well go for it. After i blast the ghouls into space :hehe:

Btw, I did it on lvl 5 so yeah it's possible.
Might need to turn down the difficulty to Hard or Normal and turn off HCM every once in a while though.

I went through with a level 6 character the only thing that killed me were the traps that I didn't notice.

If you want to pass the Hard skill checks, you'll need to be kind of a high level.
