Walking slow like i'm crippled?

Post » Mon Feb 14, 2011 2:00 am

Hey guys!

Ive recently startet playing Fallout 3 New vegas, awesome game i must say, but in the middle of a quest where i had to go down to a "vault 22" and gather some data + rescue a woman/ghoul
A plant exploded beside me and since ive been walking slowly, like i am crippled at both leggs or like i'm carrying too much weight.
Wg. is 184 / 260 (Strong back perk)
Hp. is 255 / 255
And it shows that ALL my limbs are in perfect condition
Ive eaven went to a doctor and got fully healed and removed my radiation poisoning.
-Still walking slowly :'(
Can anyone please tell me what to do?

Regards,
Phm

If you played another game since, then you'll feel like you're walking incredibly slowly. It may have been a poison that lowered agility or movement speed or something like that. But on HC mode, you quickly get used to walking with crippled limbs - and when you're healed, you run like a dream...

It may also be a bug - try reloading a save?

Um... have you switched off 'Always Run'?

Can't remember if this option is in the game settings in NV bt it is in most FPS.

Have you tried removing your armor or anything like that?

This kinda sounds like it could be a bug though. (heh..heheh)

Best wishes though! Hey, try restarting the console/computer! I've had it where after looking in a computer, whenever I zoomed in with any scoped weapon all I saw was a blank computer screen. Then I restarted the system, and everything was fine :goodjob:

Maybe he accidentally hit the caps lock key. I've done that.

If worse comes to worse you could always reload a previous save from before the incident happened

I'm sure you have plenty of those right? ;)

No problem. I used to always make that mistake so I removed that bind :) Comes from playing a lot of FPS I assume, I prefer not to have a perm-bind like that.

I realised this has been resolved, but I had a similar situation happen for different reasons. Dropped something out my inventory to take me down to 200/210wg but was still walking as if over encumbered. Checked my invent again and it was still there, dropping it again made it go properly and fixed the slow.
