So i love the way the NCR armor looks, but i could never find it early on in the game without killing some1. I have found a solution. When you go to Nipton, there is a house there call Nipton Hotel. Inside this house i found around 4-5 Dead troopers that have armor(no weapons however). So after looting them and repair i almost had a perfect condition NCR armor set. This motel is located (when facing the entrance to the town hall) left side of the door. There is some weird rock formation infront of it.

Shouldn't there be some NCR bodies in NCRCF?

Those were the troopers who got caught by the powder gangers, on the mayor's orders, for the legion. There's another set of NCR armor, if you take an unmarked quest later on, and it's ranger-grade. Just try to help out any distressed wives at McCaran.

I believe this was the Standard issue type of armor, not the Ranger Vet. Also you can get the Ranger armor that is brown and looks really cool (not the Vet but i guess the one below that) by going to Novac, taking the unmarked quest that ranger andy gives you. One of the bodies in the target location will have it on them.

Hey, you do know that everyone's alive before you take ranger Andy's quest, right? Have you been able to figure out if it's possible to save them from getting killed by the legion?

I was following a bunch of NCR troopers just outside Charlie, and legion attacked. I didn't want to get bad with Caesar, so I let them fight it out. Machettes against Service Rifles. I figured the end result would be a no-brainer. Well.... not quite. The troopers, got served. Didn't even kill a legionary, ffs!

But, I guess if you kill them, you can save Charlie? Have you tried that?

I havent tried that, but i have explored the area your talking about heavily. I did just go and patrol with a group of NCR troopers and we killed about 3 groups of legion guys. I havent tested it in great deal if you kill all the people in the area if it says charlie.

Also if you have confirmed bachlor when talking to andy, he teachs you a new unarmed move.

The perk is not necessary.

And there is dead NCR dude in the coyote cave east of Primm , guarded by Coyote Alpha or something . Tough fight at low level on vh/hc though.

I noticed this too. I didn't talk to him on my second playthrough, and everyone there is still alive.

Even easier way is to go to Primm, and in one of the NCR tents is a footlocker with 2 different armor types and a helmet.

Face Wrap Armor is my favorite.

I found the casual Ranger outfit after the ranger that gives me the radio got ambushed by some legion assassins going for me cool looking but rather useless against weapons so I sneak around.

I have a set of every NCR armor stored in my safe house

and I try to role play with those sets of armor like a patrol or a task force

I have some glitches like when only the officer attacked me like the troopers were not there because i didn't lose anything
