Did anyone else think the actor for Caesar was a very odd choice? I expected someone sort of full of themself yet dignified, and instead he's some bozo who sounds like Fred Flintstone. He has some goofy accent, and says words like "interesting" as "innerestin". I don't know who it is and I'm not insulting the actor himself, but it seemed like a really poor choice for the character.

I think that Kaisar was from Texas or the south lands so I wasn't too put off.

I actually like the voice actor.
I thought he was going to have an older voice but I'm glad he didn't.
Don't need a super old guy leading the Legion.
At least not the first time we see him.
(I hope there will be a sequel on the west coast and that we see Caesar again.)

John Doman, he played Rawls in "The Wire" and is without a doubt the man. Great actor and a great choice. If you go on to make a thread about Chief Hanlon's voice actor not being up to snuff I might just lose my mind.

I found the Caesars voice to be among the most distinguished and characteristic I've heard in the whole game so far. He doesn't sound egoistic, but actually strong and determined in a calm ominous way - and the pronounciation of some of the words ("inneresting", for example) just adds some strange, yet fitting, flavor to his character. I expected him to sound like a cliched bad guy (mister Burke, Lucien Lachance, etc) or a whiny hedonist, but was pleasantly surprised.

So far I found him to have the most personality of all the NPC's ive talked to. Most of the time I get annoyed and just read the sub titles and move on. I listened to every one of his possible lines.

John Doman? He sounds almost like John Goodman to me. Almost. It's funny.

If you want to hear him sound really egotistical, tell him you won't work for him at all. He get's right mad and starts losing his [censored].

He sounds like John Goodman to my ears, so having Dan from Roseanne lecture me on the Hegelian Dialectic was quite amusing :laugh:

Fallout3 & NV are both poorly synchronized, most characters sound like crap. Beside the Main Characters i feel like the whole game is synchronized by 2 People, Men and women.

I thought it was Sully from Monsters Inc

At first I was put off a tad by his voice as he berated me for coming before him after butchering so many of his troops and ruining his plans, but then when he said something like, "calm down, I'm just [censored] with you," I knew they had picked the perfect voice for this character.
The voice has to match the actual personality of the character, not your expectation of what the character's personality will be.

Why did I expect to hear Patrick Stewards voice when I first saw Ceasar?

I like the current voice actor btw.

They should have gotten Ciaran Hinds. That would have been da bomb.

I thought Doman did a great job. Ceasar's voice and character in general was unique; not cliched but not something completely ridiculous, either.

In fact, I think all the big stars earnt their pay check, especially Zachery Levi and James Marsden.
