Improvements They Should Make on the Next Fallout

One of the most irritating aspects of the New Vegas game is the fact that most buildings are boarded up, not allowing for the pleasure of exploring and looting. The previous Fallout 3 had the same problem, unlike the Elder Scrolls games where you could enter any building and hunt around. I enjoy the "dungeon crawl" the most in these kinds of games. Really, why would these buildings be boarded up in this world anyway? It gives a cheap feel to the game also.

Another problem is karma. I mean, why if you're playing the good guy should it be a karma drainage to loot from evil factions like Ceasar's Legion or Fiends?

Like the Elder Scrolls games, it would be nice to carry hammers to repair melee weapons and armor and build up your skill enough to never break another hammer, allowing the condition problem to no longer exist.

The caves and abandoned building you can enter seem jokingly simple compared to the previous Fallout 3. We need less blocked off passages and more inside exploration!

Next lose the "PC" mentality. How many "Ms. Ironbox" leaders do you need? Just make people normal. More respectful attitudes from the heroic factions and more jerkish attitudes from evil ones regardless of six or race. The game feels a little to on the liberal side. It's the equivelent of having the game made in the late 60's with the Brady Bunch mentality of not showing a toilet, allowing voilence, or vulgar language but with current politically correct undertones instead. Makes you want to grab a bucket.

The silliest aspect of character development is although I chose a male character, he sounds exactly like a woman after falling off a cliff. I think they got something mixed up here.

I'm not sure I understand what you're getting at here. The way you're treated by various characters depends on your reputation with that character's faction. NCR treats me with great respect and I can even use my NCR rep to get more info or complete quests in a different way. Consequently, before Caesar ordered my death, the Legionnaires were very disrespectrul.

In my CL playthrough, this is reversed. Of course, CL doesn't respect female characters at all, but that's for very good reason given how the legion was constructed.

Those boarded up store and home fronts are just painted walls and aren't really buildings at all. People complain about invisible ones and it's much easier, resource wise, to just draw a line you can't cross and paint it with boards and bricks.

I don't know what game you're playing, or is this all just flamebait? Because with regard to "or vulgar language," my time with Cass alone has had her spew more profanity (I don't mind it, mind you...I'm just referring to your characterization as "Sesame Street- The Videogame") than I encountered in two playthroughs of Fallout 3.
