i think i was exiting lucky 38 when my companion disappeared. i didn't notice and went on with the quest to find caesar. when i get there i can't enter the tent because the guard says only i can enter. so this is where it all goes wrong. my companion is not with me, but i still have my companion's perk. i fast traveled back to the place where i got my companion but she is not there nor at lucky 38 casino and i can't find her anywhere... anyone experience this before and was able to fix this? i don't want to open up console either as i am playing in hardcoe mode.

My companion (ED-E) disappeared when I entered a building in the NCR correctional facility. I have the perk and NPC's still comment as to his presence. I tried running around looking in the air to see if the text options would appear but no luck. I tried the Vault 22 elevator trick but again no luck. Several days of in game time have passed and no messages have popped up about him returning home. I've seen numerous reports of this glitch but no solution. The sheer number of bugs in this game makes me sick. I think Fallout 3 crashed on me a few times but this is getting to be ridiculous. And no, it's nothing to do with my xbox or I would experience problems with other games, too.

I had the same problem and it pretty much ended the game for me. Ridiculous to say the least.

I once gave Veronica a whole lot of valuable items to carry for me. Shortly after wards she disappeared. I was like, "Hhmmm....... bug or feature?" She never returned so I had to roll the game back.

My ED-E vanished after talking to Mr. House after the first part of Render Unto Caesar. He was with me in my suite before I went to see Mr. House, and afterwards, he was nowhere to be found. I sure hope he returns at some point.
