I want to know how did Mr House predict the Great War like 20 years before?
Why didn't he save anyone?

Mr. House wasn't a seer, he looked at the political situation and figured that a war was inevitable and thus prepared for it.

Well, in the world right now we have kind of predicted that their will be an apocalypse, so House could probably prepare pretty well. :tongue:

He didn't save everyone because he couldn't. He didn't even have time to fully defend Las Vegas. The bombs fell one day too soon.

He knew he couldn't have saved the world and he didn't care to. But he could save Vegas, and with that, perhaps humanity.

That's more or less what he tells you after you bring him the chip.

the platinum chip was suppose to be delivered to him but the bombs fell first, as for saving the people i don't know why but he had a handful of people i vault 21

Like Hungry said, he ran a myriad of anolysis based on political events and used some mathmatical calculations to predict it. He predicted October 24,2077, fifteen years time from his projections. However, through either mathmatical error or some event beyond his forsight, he was 20 hours short of his projections. According the House, his plans would have gone without a hitch, but the chip was to be hand delivered to him at the Lucky 38 on October 23,2077, the day, unbeknownst to House, the bombs would fall.

Edit: Reaper, he didn't own Vault 21 at the time of the War, he owned the Lucky 38 alone, it wasnt until his emergence he made a bid for Vault 21, and he won it, in what was apparently a game of Blackjack. My assumption for wanting the Vault has to do with Vault 21's energy and sources, if you notice carefully, on the second floor of the Vault, there is a small mainframe room, if you touch it, theres a menu, one of the interesting options is 'Life Support Systems' but any submenu you try to access is denied by the House Mainframe.

I am sure House funded if not bid Vault 21 from Vault Tec. And it isn't it odd that Vault 21 have direct elevator to the Tops?

Nah, that's a section blasted into by Benny, likely a roll of the dice luck on Bennys part, that COULD explain why the Vault was filled with rubble.

House order the lower part of the Vault to be filled with concrete, you would know if you talk to Sarah. That would mean House knew something he wouldn't want anyone to find out or get access to. And the life support system is probably for the one in the Vault which House planned to stay instead of Lucky 38.

The lower level if you look in there, is filled with junk and spark noises, indicating Benny has been prepping that area for a long time.

How did House know the war was coming.

What I am saying is House make Vault 21 right inside the strip, because he alone knows it is going to be okay. Look at all other Vaults, they are in somewhat remote or really deep under, unlike 21 which is at the basemant of a souvenirs shop(?) right inside the strip.

All other Vaults? There's vaults under other cities too, for example Bakersfield (Necropolis), Los Angeles and Old Olney. Besides I highly doubt that even house had the money as a single investor to have a vault built on his request. Intended budget for vaults was around $400 billion, of course I don't how valuable that is compared to present day but I presume it's a lot.

If House, as the owner of Robco and Repconn could afford to build the lucky 38, complete with his life support system and LAZER CANNONS, hundreds of robot soldiers, and the ability to hack intercontinental ballistic missiles, i'm fairly sure he could make the stretch for a vault.

Though there's nothing in the game to indicate that he actually had anything to do with it.

Actually, House didn't BUILD the Lucky 38, he purchased it and retrofitted it to his needs.

Even in that case, it must have been rather expensive.

There is no vault in Old Olney, and the LA vault was a demonstration model it wasn't numbered or part of the vault experiments, and the 400 billion dollar tag on a vault is for the 1,000 people capacity model. (like Vault 13).
