I need help with finding 40mm Grenades

Post » Sun Mar 06, 2011 5:26 am

Hi there,

I recently come to the conclusion that I may have quite possibly used every 40mm grenade in the Mojave...

I have looked everywhere for more and none of the vendors are respawning them either.

Does anyone know where I could find some more or how I could get the vendors to respawn some?

(ps I am playing on the PS3.)

I believe that saving the game when your at a vendor then reloading forces them to restock. I'm not sure if they've stopped this in a patch but it works for me, vendors tend to get stuck on the same level equipment as well. I've always found more 40mm grenades at the wandering caravan merchants than stationary ones.

Go to the airfield where the Boomers are, there's a vendor there in the same place as the cafeteria that has always had the grenades in stock in my game every three days.

Thanks guys, that really did help..

Also I managed with a high sneak rate and the Chinese Stealth suit to pilfer quite a few from the Boomers around Nellis..

It will be great to be using Mercy again, this time w/ Incendiaries :flamethrower:

That's pretty flaming :flamed: I modded myself some 40mm Pulse Grenades, so my Mercy goes "Sentry Bot Bye-Bye" too :shocking:

It doesn't have the stealth field like in Fallout 3, though. It's supposed to make Stealth Boys last longer, but it doesn't

It was one of first things on my list of "To get" in NV.

I really don't mind, as it only takes me a "La Fantoma" skill magazine to get to 100 Sneak skill.

i have had this problem with bobby pins and the grenades - i'm maxed and i think i have found about 40 bobby pins in about 200+ hours of game play. had the bobby pin problem in Fallout 3 too. the only thing that i can think of is to kill the Boomers (unless u have a use for them) I did and every time they respawn - i get tons of them

The other thing to do is practice your lockpick skills! I get a little mad at myself if I break any, since I know I could avoid it.

yeah, I know about the 100 lockpick skill thing - it's just the point. why in one run thru do i have an overabundance of them and in the next i only get a few? i am an avid explorer In the game and i dont let anything go unchecked!

Actually, I meant practicing the mouse & keyboard lockpick skills. When I started FO3 I broke a lot of bobby pins, but later found it's more a function of my touch and timing than of my character's skill. [And OH so much easier than the excruciating lockpicking of Oblivion!] Of course the character's skill is critical to determining which locks can be attempted.

I know what you mean about scarcity from one run to the next: "feast or famine" sometimes.

Just so you know, you have to wait 72 hours per gaming session to get the respawns. If you play for 2.5 game days, then quit for some reason, then come back, you sill have to wait 72 hours to get the vendors to respawn.

Also, from what I remember, there are supposed to be more 40mm Grenades, and other explosives, in the Vendor Inventories, but I have not tested this.

Try quartermaster bardon he sells different types of ammo by the thousands or boomers have a 100% chance of selling them every 3 days
