Bonjour,

i bought Fallout New Vegas... i dont have internet at home, i wonder if i should send it back at the onlineshop or not cause it says on the box it need to connect to steam for the game to be playable , right?

if i dont have internet at home does the game can create a file to unlock the game offline (like windows seven via phone or like many programme (ableton live, komplete 7...) that create a file to register via another computer???)

(i only buy solo game because i dont have any internet connexion why making solo game that need a connexion!!!! [censored] supid if they did not tought to us !!!)

Yeah it's stupid I must admit, something that annoyed the hell out of me, even though I have a connection just fine.

I find it ironic and amusing that you plan on sending it back to the ONLINEshop though :P

Anyway, can't you buy one of those really cheap dongle thingies that allows you to wirelessly connect to the internet at a slowish speed (Something like a USB device you just stick in your usb port and connect at like 3MB or something) and activate the game like that? Not the best option I know but possible

Also, try phoning them, get the number from the manual

If the seal isn't broken yet, maaayyyybe, but probably not, Return policies svck on PC software because of how easy piracy is nowadays. If places allowed returns on PC software, people would just buy it, take it home, copy it, and return it.

FONV does need Steam for authentication, I realize it would be a pain in the neck but perhaps you can bring your computer to a friend who does have an internet connection at home just for installation. Then you can set Steam to offline mode and bring your computer home and you should be all set.

My gaming computer was offline for a while a few years ago and I certainly understand how frustrating this can be.

Do not forget that you need an internet connection to download patches.... without them it is unplayable on my computer.

i dont wanna move my computer to the bus, then the train then to a friend place, then back to the train to the bus

i just need a simple little patch like every professional company does to unlock the programme from another computer
or a little phone call to a phonebox that give me a special numberto unlock the soft !!!!!
