Which Quest ends the game?

Since you cannot play after the end I don't want to accidently finish or get to close to finishing before I've done everything I want. If I get to close to finishing sometimes it bothers me like I have an obligation to do the quest RP wise. What should I stear clear of?

Spoiler
You'll know when it happens, you won't have to guess,

All at once you'll find your heart is filled with happiness.

You'll know when it happens, love can't be disguised,

All at once the dreams you dreamed will all be realized.

Your eyes will see things that are not really there.

Your lips will say things, things you never would dare.

You'll know when it happens, suddenly you'll say,

"Darling, I'm in love with you," it happens just that way.

actually, 'You'll know it when it happens'' isn't the last quest, I just thought that the lyrics very accurately answered your question :)

seriously tho, there's a giant box that tells you you are going to change the future of New Vegas ''for decades to come''. You can't miss it.

Right, and there are four different "Game Ender" quests. When the game warns you that you are making a final commitment, that's when to back off.

The game ender quest for NCR is "Eureka", for House it's "All or Nothing", and for Ceasar, it's some Latin crap: "Veni vidi vivi" or something.

Too bad many players mindlessly skip that warning. Always gives me a chuckle when they show up here all hot'n'bothered that the game ended on them.

House, you get "All or Nothing", The Legion you get "Veni Vidi Vici", NCR you get "Eureka!" and for Yes Man you get "No Gods, No Masters"

If you get to those points and can't see it's the end of the game, you would have to be mentally challenged. So have no fear!

If you don't want to get close to finishing the main quest don't accept any of the leaders invitations to see them before or after dealing with Benny. You don't even really have to deal with him unless you want the Lucky 38 as a place to stay. I prefer myself to keep the game in act 1 as long as possible.

That's pretty cool. I actually once waited until I was around Level 23 before I dealt with Benny. Then, after all thje stuff I had done for the NCR, the Colonel glitched up and I couldn't advance the NCR storyline. So I sided with Mr. House, and wound up near Level 35 and living the good life in the Lucky 38. Only thing I felt bad about was the Kings, since I inadvertantly got them wiped out. :sadvaultboy:
