there is a weapon with a green tip on the end of the barrel and i can not pick it up.its in a wrecked room with a safe in the corner and a door where u need lvl 100 lockpick to ccess (from the other side).i got the password for the door on the 3rd floor in a briefcase by the 2 dead brotherhood by the 2 nuka cola machines. .the rifle is just lying there but i can not pick it up.what am i missing?

It's bugged, apparently.

Try shifting it with explosives.

thanks rogue,it worked.i put some c4 against the wall and now i have a Q-35 matter modulator.i hope this weapon is worth all that trouble.

It's one of the best energy weapons in the game.....

You got a great weapon and I'm glad the explosives worked. From the Wiki: " Instead of using 2 microfusion cells like the standard model, the Q-35 Matter Modulator only uses 1. Its rate of fire is about 2x faster than plasma rifles, and it degrades slower than a regular plasma rifle. It also has about 50% extra DPS."

I let Boone use it for a while and there are green piles of Legion goo all over the hills south of Novac.

Veronica's deadly with it too, despite her griping about having to use it.

It is a great energy weapon.

It's awesome! When Lanius was distracted fighting the two NCR Rangers who suicidally charge him near the end of the game, I headshot him with it. Scored two Sneak Attack criticals, and he melted into a pool of green goo, didn't even have time to kill the second ranger. I remember my jaw almost hit the floor, since usually Lanius takes about five minutes to kill.

Brings back memories of the A3-21 rifle from Fallout 3.
