"No results found for 'Double down'."

So i decided to create a topic of this small (but awesome) thing in Blackjack. At my previous character i never used it, now i decided to try it out. With my 9 luck character, it is so awesome. Basically it doubles the bet and makes you draw a card. If you have high luck, you can win caps very fast with it.

Do YOU use it?

I don't have +9 Luck so I only use it when I'm feeling lucky... In other words, when the odds are stacked in my favor. Then again I also bet 200 chips a hand when that's the case too.

Yeah, when I have ~10 - 12. Luck of 7. Lost a few times it usually works in my favor

Only when I feel the hand I've been dealt is a winner. It's a 70/30 ratio for me. So Im not afraid to use it.

I double-down on anything 10 or higher and win 90% of my hands.

I hope by that you mean 10 or 11. You should never double down on any blackjack hand over 11, unless it's soft (includes an Ace).

The odds also favor doubling down on hands totalling 7-9 when the dealer is showing a 4, 5, or 6. A soft 17 always warrants doubling down against those cards.

I realize that Luck stacks the odds in your favor in this game, but you still maximize your odds of winning by playing blackjack correctly. And, if you ever happen to find yourself at a RL blackjack table, you want to know how to play correctly. People around you will get incredibly angry if you play your cards wrong and end up helping the dealer.

oh i think it is important to have a good luck in this.
I went a few rounds of blackjack with a char 6 or 7 luck, and managed to break even. then i walked away.

Went a few rounds with a char 4 luck, lost about 200 caps. had to walk away before i gambled all my cash.

My character has 8 luck, and I double down all the time on basically anything between 10 and, oh, 16 (inclusive). Maybe I'll double down on 17s if I feel particularly lucky. It usually works out. In fact, in the time it took me to get banned from all three casinos, I "hit" far less than I doubled down (as in, I could probably count the number of hands I hit on with both hands).

I rely more on my actual knowledge of casino blackjack than my Luck score... :shrug:
