hi-- im trying to find the scope for the varment rifle (or any kind of scope/binocular type of object)-- can anyone give me a hint/clue as to where i can find one!!!!

You can, I did it at Hoover Dam waiting on T-45d suits to respawn at the Quatermaster. If you want a Varmint rifle with all mods, you can get the Unique Varmint rifle Ratslayer from Broc Flower cave which is located north-west of Camp Searchlight, east of the Legion Raid Camp, and south of Highway 95 Viper's Encampment. You have to fight plenty of VERY large rats however, and can easily gang up on a low level player, so if you have a companion Id bring them along, if you dont have one Id adivse getting one. A decent level player can handle them pretty well however.

by the north gate at new vegas at the gun runners,they sell weapons and add ons,if u walk away from the north gate it is on the right hand side..i go there everyday and kill the 2 gaurds outside and 1 gaurd inside then sell there armor,i get 3000 caps a day to pay for my weapon add ons and ammo.

This. Ratslayer is a pretty handy weapon to have, especially at night. The scope on the Ratslayer is a night vision scope. Not so good against deathclaws and cazadores, but it kills just about any other living thing quickly.
