Vendors won't repair outfits with 0 DT ?

Just something I've noticed from playing around in game and with the GECK. Vendors by default won't repair any outfits with 0 DT.
This means that my stormchaser hat that I love sporting around, the only way I can repair it is by finding another stormchaser
hat.

Not sure what the DEV's intent was with this or if it was *AHEM* another oversight. It's easily fixable
with a mod, I've already fixed it the way I wanted to, but IMHO, you should be able to repair ALL your
stuff at a repair vendor.

As much as I hate losing hard-to-find gear, I totally understand the concept of something being irreparably damaged. (Note that you can't use your own Repair skill to fix such items even if you have a duplicate, but you can use the broken item to fix the better quality one.)

I just wish there were some kind of visual representation of this so I didn't have to find out from my Pip Boy when my clothing is supposed to be torn to rags. Would be nice if there were two models for clothes -- the "works just fine" model and the "burned, shredded, and drenched in my own blood" model.

I encounter the same thing... I'm not sure if it's the same in FO3 or not, I can't remember. It makes a certain sense for the item to be completely destroyed and unfixable... but you'd think it would disappear then.

At least it's not hard to find Stormchaser's hat. My cowgirl's Desperado hat broke before I made it to Mohave Outpost and I still can't find a replacement.

It's still useable for fixing other items, though.
