The Working Girl Courier

And so The Courier who had cheated death in the cemetery outside Goodsprings cheated death once again, and the Mojave wasteland was forever changed. No man who had come in contact with The Courier went unsatisfied.

Looking for a place where he could be of some use, Boone found himself falling in love with The Courier. Though his regrets remained in his thoughts, they coalesced into a purpose, and Boone embraced his woman. He and The Courier, spent some time hunting down slavers in the desert, his First Recon beret the last thing they never saw. She gave up her life as a prosttute, instead giving all her tricks of the trade to her lover, her man, Craig Boone. After they married, the Boone's settled down in Novac. Craig finally picked up his friendship with Manny Vargas who timidly confessed his homosixuality to his friend and now Manny finally felt comfortable and accepted in the Boone household. He loved The Courier as a sister and had many conversations with her about the future, the NCR and Great Khans. A year after the battle at Hoover Dam, Craig Boone and his wife, The Courier, welcomed their first child, a son, into a safer world...a world both parents had worked hard to make for all children of the Mojave.

Lily continued to take her medicine at half-doses, and although she remembered her grandchildren, her mind remained muddled and confused. Eventually, she parted ways with The Courier and traveled west, seeking the remnants of her past.

With the transplant of Lupa's brain, Rex gained all of the donor's experiences traveling with the Legion. These melded well with his own memories of the Legion, and his new mind quickly adjusted to the myriad memories. Whenever The Courier visited Freeside, The King and Rex, she remembered slaying Lupa, the mother of many great legion dogs for her brain to give to the beloved robotic dog of Freeside and was happy to see Rex doing so well. The Courier had serviced most of the men in Caesar's Legion including Caesar himself but it was with great pleasure she and her future husband slew the entire camp, early one morning. As they stood surrounded by the dead Caesar, Lucius and Caesar’s guards; Boone said with the hint of a smile, "Bet he didn't see this coming when he drank his morning coffee."

The New California Republic celebrated its second victory at Hoover Dam, establishing definitive control over the entire Mojave Wasteland. Soon after, they negotiated terms to annex The Strip, Freeside, and many surrounding communities. The Mojave wasteland, at long last, had entirely fallen under the NCR's banner. The Courier began her career at the Atomic Wrangler and had serviced hundreds of men in Freeside and The Strip. Even though many didn't want to see the NCR take over, all men who had known the company of The Courier were glad it was her hand in the victory and accepted their fate with a smile and warmth remembering her special touch.

Shaped up by The Courier's advice, The Misfits distinguished themselves during the Legion's attack on Camp Golf. Mags was finally promoted to Sergeant, and the rest of The Misfits received an official commendation. They continued to serve with distinction for many years. Razz remembered the steamy nights he spent with The Courier as they indulged in six and chems and although he was sad to hear she had quit the oldest profession in the world, he was happy to hear of her wedded bliss.

After the NCR's victory at the dam, in part thanks to Follower medical support, NCR allowed the Followers to care for refugees as they see fit. Old Mormon Fort expanded its services and was able to aid more people, becoming a refuge for the less fortunate citizens of New Vegas. The Courier who was also a Follower of the Apocalypse stopped by the fort often to help Julie Farkas and Arcade Gannon with supplies and aid to the wounded. She also counseled refugees left all alone and those addicted to chems. Her own addiction to chems, prior to her marriage to Boone, gave her much insight to help those in need of her experiences. Although she no longer used chems, she did remember the fun times she spent with her friends and living the 'high' life but when she looked into the face of her beautiful baby boy, she never regretted giving up that lifestyle because now, she was truly happy.

After Hoover Dam, the leaderless Powder Gangers at the Correctional Facility vanished into the wastes, leaving the prison empty. The Correctional Facility became another abandoned ruin in the wasteland, its carcass occasionally picked over by enterprising prospectors. The Courier missed some of the fun times she had when she first met the gangers. Scrambler, Eddie's body guard, was her lover right after she left Goodsprings and she was saddened at his death when the NCR overran the prison. He died by her own hand as she helped the NCR stage the coup, but she made sure it was a quick and painless death for her loved Ganger.

With Cooke dead, the Powder Gangers at Vault 19 fell apart. Those who weren't destroyed by the Courier fled into the hills or attempted to work their way back through the Mojave Wasteland. Few survived and none felt the warmth of The Courier.

After the NCR victory at Hoover Dam, the temporary truce between them and The Kings blossomed into a full-scale relief effort for the people. While the NCR made repeated entreaties that Freeside join the Republic, The Kings steadfastly maintained their independence. The King honored The Courier with membership into the gang; after all, she was almost an institution among the King's Gang members, because most of them had been her best customers--especially Pacer--who often got her services for free.

During the Battle of Hoover Dam, the Great Khans quickly evacuated Red Rock Canyon and headed north and east into the plains of Wyoming. There, they reconnected with the Followers of the Apocalypse and rebuilt their strength. Bolstered by ancient knowledge of governance, economics, and transportation, they carved a mighty empire out of the ruins of the Northwest. The Courier who had passed the initiation rite and became a Great Khan herself both by the beat-down and her intimate relationship with Papa Khan, was happy for her brethren to see them once again become proud and strong. She wished her friends, Jack and Diane the happiness that she now felt being loved by Boone as she said goodbye to her clan as they headed out of the Mojave toward the Northwest territories. Even Bitter-Root, her Camp McCarren lover, felt some pride in the Great Khans; his heritage he tried to forget but somehow, after knowing The Courier and her position with the Khans made him feel proud of their new purpose in life. Bitter-Root had worked with Boone in the First Recon Sniper Battalion at Camp Golf before they went separate ways. Bitter-Root met the courier when he had been relocated to Camp McCarren and although he missed the nights he had spent with her, he knew she was in good hands and that her husband loved her dearly, just as he had.

With the help of the Gun Runners, the Boomers developed a healthy trading relationship with the NCR. Eventually the Boomers began wandering out into the wasteland, while still preventing outsiders from entering Nellis although The Courier and Craig Boone and later their many children were always welcome to Nellis. In time, years later, the marriage of Boone's oldest son to the daughter of Jack and Janet made the Boomers family and all welcomed that special union. The Courier remembered fondly the fun nights she spent in the men's barracks at Nellis but was happy those days were over because of all the men she had in her career, the Boomer guys always wore her out.

Buried beneath tons of rubble, the Mojave chapter of the Brotherhood of Steel was no more. Those few who were outside the Hidden Valley bunker when it was destroyed settled into new lives, or headed west to find a new chapter to join. The Courier tried to make peace with the BoS but because she was an NCR agent, after meeting Ranger Dobson and having a brief fling with him, she found herself unable to kill him as the handsome Elder demanded so to keep Dobson alive, she destroyed the Brotherhood and all who lived in that bunker in Hidden Valley. Her passion too great to make a peace of uncertainty and a desire to please her commanding officer made the courier falter for a moment...but it was only a moment.

Though weakened, the Fiends attacked McCarran during the second Battle of Hoover Dam. NCR repulsed the attack with minimal losses and, in the following days, destroyed the remaining Fiend leaders, except Motor-Runner, breaking their power forever. The Courier, never forgot the six filled nights with her lover, Motor-Runner and helped him and his two dogs flee the wrath of the NCR. After she was married to Craig, she lost contact with the fiend but she knew in her heart he would find a new place to rule because he was after all, Motor-Runner.

Goodsprings saw more trade along I-15 after NCR gained control of the Mojave Wasteland, but with that came a heavy burden of the Republic's taxes. Some old-timers, unable to handle the cost, were forced to move on, grumbling all the while. Tourists came to Goodsprings to visit the graveyard where The Courier "rose from the dead" and to pay homage to a woman of strength, passion and commitment. News of The Courier’s marriage heralded Ringo as he led his trade caravan to New Canaan. He remembered his first meeting with the sixy woman and the lust they both shared while he was hiding in the abandoned gas station in Goodsprings. She always found time to be with him before meeting Craig Boone and as he headed out of the Mojave, even though he missed her touch, he thought of her happiness and felt fulfilled for having had her in his life.

Thanks to The Courier and Lily, a cure for the Nightkin's schizophrenia was found shortly after Doctor Henry's experiment concluded. Nightkin and other Super Mutants in the wasteland flocked to Jacobstown, and the town became known as a haven where a mutant could find peace. Neil joined Marcus at Jacobstown leaving Black Mountain as a desolate reminder of a harsher life for Super Mutants.

After Hoover Dam, Sheriff Meyers runs Primm with his own style of frontier justice. He deals with most folks fairly, but now and then someone winds up dead with little to no evidence against them. Lt Hayes, a long time lover of The Courier now at Camp Forlorn Hope often thought of the beautiful woman who consumed his body and thoughts when his platoon was stationed at Primm but was happy for her new life, knowing what they had together would always be special to both of them.

The Courier, fair and even-handed in her dealings throughout the Wasteland, was honored by the NCR for her support of the military at Hoover Dam. She was presented with the Golden Branch, the highest civilian decoration given by the republic. The NCR gave the Boone's a lovely military wedding and welcomed the birth of their first child, knowing that without The Courier, there would be no celebration under Caesar's rule and rejoiced in their military victory at the dam and for having The Courier on their side.

DAMN YOUR COURIER GETS AROUND!!! Check yourself for serious STD's, I don't know how common condems are in the Mojave :shifty: But that was flipping awesome! :disco:

I also wanted to metnion we use the http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout%3A_New_Vegas_endings over at my place for a template to our actual game endings. I just used it for my upside down ending as well to keep in "character." I have some ideas for more, but I really want to see your ideas as well! These are really fun to do, especially for all the great role playing ideas I've been reading from the members here, I think the RPG players can have a heyday with their own upside down endings.

Whistled for the mutt to take heel, and parted from the Mojave a mother land now too tame.
The last record ever found off the courier was a pile of rocks with a carved cross, written apon which was..

After Rey's brain was transplanted into Rex's cybernetic body, it took Rex some time to adjust to the old scrapyard dog's memories. Eventually, Rex's mind settled peacefully, melding his own memories with that of long travels with Old Lady Gibson.
Having those memories served ex well, used to old bones and sprightly thoughts made the Ol' scav he now traveled with a fun ad exciting life, for the dog never to old to learn new tricks.

He new it was for the best, but could never shake off the thought of who's best.

He never brought up what happened to the Khans or the Followers after the dam.
Anyone that even raised the subject got a beating, if only to remind him of the failings he made.

The NCR find as many holy tomes and archive holotapes about their god as possible.

A rightous man, the courier would spit, but the twinkle in his eye showed that he approved of many of the sheriffs judgements.

Hm...I'm not much of a roleplayer and only have the energy to do a few...but here goes:

The Courier was glad of the NCR victory, but wanted no accolades. When, during a victory ceremony, the NCR honored her for her unwavering support by giving her the Golden Branch, the Courier was conspicuously absent. Disliking being the center of attention and full of wartime memories that she had no desire to be lauded for or reminded of, she ventures back deep into the Wastelands surrounding New Vegas. Not one to be complacent, she patrols the desert for stray Legion encampments or slaver parties, determined not to let them regain any strong foothold around an area she had come to love. Isaac of the Gun Runners claims she visits him unannounced in the dead of night to stock up on supplies. When pressed for more information, Isaac will only say "She's a ghost, that one."

Although Arcade hadn't hoped for an NCR victory, he was still proud of his role in the defense of Hoover Dam. For his brave actions there, as well as the strong "encouragement" from the Courier, the NCR makes the decision to allow Arcade to stay in New Vegas despite his Enclave past. During his travels with the Courier, Arcade had met Manny and when the battle of Hoover Dam was over, Arcade returned to Novac. Wooing and eventually winning Manny's heart, together they worked with the Khans to develop a lucrative weapons & medical trade. They also used Arcade's connections with the Followers of the Apocolypse to offer programs to help wean the Fiends away from their addictions and towards building their own productive society.

Craig Boone's time with the Courier had resulted in a Legion defeat and a sense of renewed purpose...and so when she left the cities, he went with her. Their growing bond made them a deadly efficient sniper team, but eventually Craig became discomfited by his developing feelings for the Courier. Feeling that they somehow betrayed the memory of his wife, he decided to go back to New Vegas and re-enlist with the NCR. The Courier let him go, telling him only that he knew how to find her. Craig spent a year with his old 1st Recon unit but then left the NCR once more, saying only that taking orders from others was something he could no longer do. When once asked about Craig's whereabouts, Arcade & Manny murmured that Craig and the Courier helped each other to forget, and then would speak no more on the subject.

Jet: Legionary, Slaver, Addict, Terror of the Wasteland

And so The Courier who had cheated death in the cemetery outside Goodsprings cheated death once again, and the Mojave wasteland was forever scarred by the merciless killing spree and rampage across the waste in the name of the Legion.

Caesar entered The Strip as though it was his Triumph. The Legion pushed the NCR out of New Vegas entirely, driving them back to the Mojave Outpost. The Legion occupied all major locations, enslaving much of the population and peacefully lording over the rest. Under the Legion's banner, civilization - unforgiving as it was - finally came to the Mojave wasteland.

The Legion marched over the Hoover Dam with the help of one who was as brutal and merciless as the worst of them: The Courier. Caesar honored him with a golden coin, minted in celebration of his contributions and distributed throughout the wasteland. The face of The Courier would always be remembered as a man who loved men, and took whatever and whomever he wanted. Even the Legate himself, treated The Courier with respect. Dead Sea, Lucius, Antony, his dog Lupa and the Legionary Instructor gave up their posts along Caesar’s side to form a small army to aid The Courier in his march of terror across the Mojave wasteland.

Without organized leadership, the remaining Boomers slowly drifted away, leaving Nellis Air Force Base to be flooded by prospectors and scavengers. All of the Boomers' accumulated knowledge quickly scattered, and their existence slowly faded from memory. Mother Pearl and Loyal both slain by The Courier’s own hand while his personal legion army destroyed every man, woman and child at Nellis Air Force Base.

Buried beneath tons of rubble, the Mojave chapter of the Brotherhood of Steel was no more. Elder McNamarra and Paladin Ramos were [censored] then beaten to death by the hand of The Courier, so intense was his rage; the bunker was a tomb even before the bomb erased it from the valley. Those few who were outside the Hidden Valley bunker when it was destroyed settled into new lives, or headed west to find a new chapter to join.

The Fiends attacked Camp McCarran during the second Battle of Hoover Dam and suffered heavy losses. Caesar, unimpressed with their performance and their dependence on chems, had them exterminated. The Courier was able to get Cook Cook, Driver Nephi and Motor Runner along with his dogs, Donnie and Marie safely out of New Vegas before the legion’s annihilation of the Fiends for he was an addict himself, a secret he kept from Caesar.

With no clear leader to guide efforts in Freeside, the Followers of the Apocalypse lost control of Old Mormon Fort to local thugs and junkies. Eventually, using the Followers' remaining supplies to manufacture drugs, the Old Mormon Fort quickly devolved into little more than a junkie den. The Courier had an intense dislike for women and found Julie Farkas too annoying and ordered Lupa to attack and eat her flesh to instill fear on the remaining follower’s left in the fort. Many Follower’s managed to escape as soon as they saw, The Courier, Dead Sea, Antony, Lupa, Lucius and the Legionary Instructor march into the fort bearing the bull of the legion banner.

Tricked by The Courier's false claim of love and imprisoned by the Legion, Arcade remained Caesar's personal physician for several years. Caesar grew fond of speaking with such an educated man on philosophical matters. Arcade became his unwilling intellectual sparring partner. After years of such servitude, during an unguarded moment, Arcade used a surgical scalpel and his bare hands to disembowel himself. Lacking any other skilled medical personnel, the Legion was unable to prevent his death. Caesar mourned his loss for months.

Travelers continued to stop by Goodsprings Source for water on the Long 15, but rarely would anyone venture into the ruins of Goodsprings itself. Those who did were almost always tourists, come to visit the graveyard where the Courier "rose from the dead." Ringo’s skeleton remained in the gas station as a reminder of the horror that overran the small town; the horror that was The Courier.

After following Vulpes Inculta’s instruction to inform the Mojave Outpost of the slaughter of Nipton, The Courier choose to inform the outpost with his own massacre. No human or animal was spared and Cass, the Rose of Sharon Cassidy, died alongside her NCR brothers and sisters, whether she was loyal to the NCR or not, no one ever knew because her body was stripped and violated as all bodies at the outpost were by the hands of The Courier’s personal legion army.

As reward for their loyal service, Caesar forcibly integrated the Great Khans into the Legion. The sick and elderly were killed, the women sold as wives to ranking officers, and the tribe's identity was annihilated. Though many Great Khans mourned the death of their tribe, many more were ultimately satisfied with their revenge against NCR. With a strange loyalty to Papa Khan, Regis, Jack and Diane, The Courier managed to get them safely away from the legion and help them to slip unseen out of the Mojave.

After their victory at Hoover Dam, Legion troops rolled through Freeside. The Kings tried to fight back, but most were killed, and the rest fled into the wasteland.

Slain to the last man by The Courier, The Misfits were at least spared the humiliation of dying during Caesar's attack on Camp Golf. Few mourned their absence.

Despite their vigilance against potential attacks by the Legion, the citizens of Novac were no match for The Courier. As The Courier’s personal army swept through the town, bodies were left to rot where they fell. The Courier [censored] then strangled Manny Vargas and left his naked, dead body in the mouth of the dinosaur, Cliff Briscoe was [censored] and beaten to death by Lucius who left him in his room surrounded by Dino souvenirs and Ranger Andy was beheaded by The Courier’s own blade for his loyalty to the NCR. The motel and Dinky the Dinosaur were left vacant, a rare stop at best for travelers along Highway 95.

Tired of waiting for the world to be done with him, Boone ventured into the wastes to make his own way out. Unable to clear his mind of the past, he was at last granted the death he'd awaited, bringing final rest to a life that had ended long ago.

Most Powder Gangers at the Correctional Facility fled into the wasteland rather than face the advancing forces of the Legion. Those brave or foolish to remain were killed or crucified by the merciless Legionaries. The Courier’s intense love and desire for Scrambler personally saved that one powder ganger as he slipped him out of the prison one dark night before the legion stormed the walls.

Armed with a wide array of improvised explosives and stolen weapons, the Vault 19 Powder Gang tormented the Mojave Wasteland for years. Citizens of the NCR were favorite targets, and they always suffered the worst fates.

Primm, already torn apart by Powder Gangers, was dealt a killing blow by The Courier. Though prospectors pick through the remains of the town from time to time, no one re-establishes it as a settlement.

After the death of Chief Hanlon, the power of NCR's Rangers was broken for years. Their organization, so reliant on the wisdom and guidance of its elder members, became a shadow of what it once was to people across the wasteland.

And so the Courier's road came to an end... for now. In the new world of the Mojave Wasteland, fighting continued, blood was spilled, and many lived and died - just as they had in the Old World. Because war... war never changes.

Mr. House's Securitron army took control of Hoover Dam and The Strip, pushing both the Legion and the exhausted NCR out of New Vegas. Mr. House continued to run New Vegas his way, a despotic vision of Pre-War glory. The streets were orderly, efficient, cold. New Vegas continued to be the sole place in the wasteland where fortunes were won and lost in the blink of an eye.
The Courier, fair and kind-hearted to those in the Wasteland, ensured that Mr. House would keep New Vegas stable and secure for future generations. Mr. House afforded him every luxury at his disposal in the Lucky 38, out of gratitude - and a quiet sense of pride for his choice in lieutenants.
Mr. House listened to some of the advice of the Courier, who had served him with such loyalty, and decided that The Strip needed a few changes here and there. Mortimer was executed for all to see. Big Sal, Nero and Cachino were all kicked out of The Strip, and were never heard from again. The ownership of Gomorrah was given to The Kings, because their hostility towards NCR citizens was a sign of loyalty towards Mr. House.

These are all just.. wow. That last one Lady Moraine was a difficult read with things that happened to characters I've developed a lot of empathy for, I think I'd better load the game up and see if everyone is still ok. very well done.

LOL Tell me about it! I'm the one that had to play it! It was rough, really rough--I am a Boone/Gannon LOVER. But I waned to get the full RPG experience out of the character and just did him as bad as I could, of course Lupa didn't really eat Julie Farkas but she was licking her lips!

I'm thinking of siding with House this time around myself. I haven't played his ending in months. I still have an evil guy and my companions now are http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1165210-modded-fallout-new-vegas-screenshot-thread-6/page__view__findpost__p__17305186 so I think I'll have fun killing everyone with these guys! I'm leaving Boone, Gannon and Julie Farkas alone this time though.

Here are a few I'd like to have...

When the NCR entered Freeside, they attempted to evict the Followers of the Apocalypse from the Old Mormon Fort. However, the Courier was a Follower of the Apocalypse himself, and he told General Oliver in a few simple, well-chosen words how he would respond if they did so. The Followers were granted possession of the Fort in perpetuity, and left to carry out their noble work unmolested.

Arcade Gannon, the Courier's longtime comrade and best friend, was arrested by the NCR because of the Enclave markings on his gear. However, when the Courier explained to the NCR authorities that unless Arcade was released unharmed immediately, he himself would come and get him, and he would bring his beloved assault carbine and ballistic fist along for the party. Arcade was freed within the hour.

Yes I like those changes.

Epilogue of a Wild West Gunslinger

Having decided that NCR lacked both the funding and will to protect the Mojave, the Courier turned on his allies at the 11th hour. With Mister House's upgraded Securitrons at his disposal, he forced General Oliver's forces to withdraw peacefully. Despite this, many NCR officers and fighting men maintained a deep respect for the Courier due to his many valiant deeds. President Kimball predicted that the newly formed United States of Mojave would collapse within the year.

It did not.

Having destroyed both the Fiends and the Powder Gangers at the NCR Correctional facility, the roads became surprisingly peaceful. Likewise, the Great Khans and Cooke's branch of the Powder Gangers peacefully withdrew from the Mojave. This left only the Vipers and a few other scattered bands of Raiders to menace the Mojave, all of which were within "acceptable" levels of criminal activity. In time, the Great Khans conquered much of the Northwest and became a powerful ally to the Courier's budding democracy. Papa Khan, living to the ripe old age of 97, saw that the two states remained firm allies against both NCR and Legion aggression.

Eventually, President Kimball's term ended and he was ultimately remembered as ineffective leader of the Republic. He was replaced by Chief Hanlon's son who, influenced by his father's own successful political career, sought to a softening of relations between NCR and the USM. The two nations, in time, became firm trading partners with New Vegas continuing to prosper as an entertainment capital while the NCR benefited from Mister House's recovered technology. A century later, the two nations became one and reclaimed much of the remaining Western United States.

The Courier cared for none of that, however.

Having always wanted to be nothing more than a simple package courier, the legendary hero only served out two terms as President of the USM. Refusing to serve any longer, the Courier instead re-opened the Lucky 38. Being a man of simple tastes, the Courier spent most of his time wandering in hopes of continuing the good he'd done. The Courier's Seven, as they came to be known, all decided to live there in the Lucky 38 with them - choosing their friendship over their own home nations.

Boone, initially starting as a Caravan guard and mercenary, eventually agreed to re-found the Nevada Rangers. While his former unit always remained at arm's length, a friendly rivalry emerged between NCR's Rangers and the newly reconstituted Nevada Rangers. After a few years, Boone's heart recovered and he married a law woman from Goodsprings named Sunny Smiles. Boone, of course, still would often take extended vacations hunting members of Caesar's Legions, becoming known as 'The Terror of the East.'

Rose of Sharon Cassidy found herself in a position she'd never really expected to, specifically that of a woman with too many caps and a lot of powerful friends. Re-founding Cassidy Caravans, Rose soon built the largest economic block in the Mojave. Amusingly, Cassidy Caravans swiftly became a rival to Crimson Caravans and managed to eventually buy them out by the time she was a grandmother. It was never firmly established that the Courier was the father of her children, but Rose and he remained close beside one another for their entire life.

Veronica Santangelo, having been traumatized by the Brotherhood's massacre of the Followers of the Apocalypse, was stunned when the Courier asked her to remain as his personal scientist. Spending her days anolyzing Mister House's technology, the Courier eventually persuaded her to once again try to join the Followers of Apocalypse. This time, the paladins sent to harm them were annihilated along with all of their backup. Working together with the Followers, Veronica eventually fell in love with and married a female Follower.

The Courier's Seven stood in for her family.

The Brotherhood of Steel in the Mojave floundered despite the Courier's assistance to them. Elder McNamara prevented a war with the USM by pointing out the Courier was a member of the Brotherhood of Steel and thus the Securitrons were technically Brotherhood property. This became a farce when future Presidents took power but by this time the Brotherhood was already firmly affixed in the Mojave, unwilling to go to war with those they'd come to view as their neighbors.

Confiscating and destroying energy weapons as well as nuclear devices whenever possible, the Mojave Brotherhood ultimately split in two when Chief Paladin Hardin was incensed by McNamara's decision to name the newly returned Christine Royce as his heir. Hardin's brotherhood was annihilated soon after, Melissa Watkins taking his place as Chief Paladin.

ED-E remained the Courier's companion for the rest of its natural existence, eventually having its programming uploaded to join Yes Man's. While the resulting being was not always intelligible, it was significantly less annoying. The Followers of the Apocalypse made good use of the Enclave information within his databanks, spreading the knowledge across the world and bringing about a "solar revolution."

Rex lived out a lengthy lifespan with his new junkyard dog's brain, eventually siring a litter of puppies before dying peacefully in his sleep two hundred years later.

Raul continued on his quest to bring justice to the land, eventually becoming a figure as legendary as the Courier.

Arcade Gannon didn't find independence all he was hoping for. However, he found the life of a power armored trooper suited him. While he didn't join the Enclave Remnants in their final stand against Caesar's Legion past, he became a constant companion to the Courier until his dying day. In time, he started a relationship with Major Knight that became a subject of tremendous controversy. Still, in the end, Arcade was remembered as one of the Courier's most tireless companions.

Encouraged by the Courier to take her medication regularly, Lilly sadly forgot her grandchildren but became a kindly figure who adopted many more in the future. In time, the Courier's own grandchildren called her "Grams."

While initially wary of the USM, Jacobstown's curing of Nightkin schizophrenia allowed it to become a haven for Super Mutants of all stripes. While never formally joining the USM, it was considered by Super Mutants to be significantly less hostile to nonhumans than the NCR.

The Boomer's remained largely isolated on their compound, in no small part due to the Courier's decision to assist the Brotherhood in curbing the proliferation of energy weapons. Still, the Boomer's benefited from regular trade with the USM and eventually joined the body several years later. To this day, it remains a place considered to be filled with "gun toting rednecks with no sense in their head."

Wiped out by the Courier, the Omertas were swiftly forgotten. The Gomorrah was eventually taken over by Francine Garret and refurbished with a Wild West theme. Sadly, James died in a bizarre sixual encounter whose details remain nebulous to this day.

Carlitos and Joanna's relationship didn't last, Joanna eventually deciding to become a croupier at the Lucky 38.

Sarah Weintrub got over her agoraphobia and visited the Lucky 38, making the effort to thank the Courier for the many Vault jumpsuits he'd given her (plus other things). She eventually wrote a tell-all book about their experiences together.

The Kings became lords of Freeside, joining the other gangs in making New Vegas a decent place to for normal people to live. They were assisted in this by the Followers of the Apocalypse, who while initially overwhelmed in the chaos following the USM's place, eventually prospered for the tireless support given them by the Courier. The King, himself, became second President of the USM. His reign was characterized by a mixture of rock and roll sound with sound judgment.

The Kings now believe they're impersonating him.

Assisted by the recovered data from Vault-22, the Sharecroppers chose to stay in the USM and helped the desert bloom.

Caesar's Legion, in the end, suffered the most because of the Courier's activities With the annihilation of Nelson, Cottonwood Cove, Nipton, and the Fort's forces; it was already hard-pressed when the Battle of Hoover Dam occurred. The Legion's leader, Legate Lanius, was not allowed to retreat by the Courier. The Courier believed only by killing him would the Legion collapse. Facing the Courier in single combat, Legate Lanius was stunned when he was defeated, dying at the hands of Caesar's assassin like his master.

The Legion promptly tore itself apart in in-fighting, many of its tribes reverting their previous practices or having their slave colonies revolt. While Caesar's Legion didn't collapse, the feuding states that emerged drifted ever further from Caesar's ideal. Mostly for the better. In time, much of the East was conquered by the Great Khans or occupied by a joint USM/NCR task-force.

And so the Courier's road came to an end... for now. In the new world of the Mojave Wasteland, fighting continued, blood was spilled, and many lived and died - just as they had in the Old World. Because war... war never changes.

Working Girl was HILARIOUS while Jet was outright scary.

I especially like the endings where Boone gets a romantic interest. Poor guy deserved a break.

The Arcade ending where he was freed was great, that's a terrible ending for poor Arcade to be arrested by NCR and kicked out of the Followers.

I love happy endings.
