Hint to Your Son?

Ok, so I was doing the quest about getting the performers for Tommy Torini, and I was going to get the The Lonesome Drifter. When I was talking to him, I choose the dialouge choice for Lady Killer, which asked him "Montana? You wouldn't happen to be 17, would you?". He responded with "No, Im 28, why?". You then respond with "Whew, good. So your father left you?". I was thinking this could mean you had a son who would be 17 at the time who was looking for you, as The Lonesome Drifter was looking for his father who abandoned him. Your character sounds worried, so maybe he is trying to avoid his "son"? I was thinking this might be hinting at when you meet Ulysses, and the "relationship" the dev's are talking about which you have with him. Father and son perhaps.

Sorry if someone already posted a theory like this, seems unlikely that I would be the first to see it, so I apologize. But still, can someone confirm?

I don't think so. With the age slider you can play a pretty young character.

This line implies that the currier would be at least in the ~33 year old range, which, I'm pretty certain, would completely screw the pooch on many of our characters. I know the age slider doesn't have an age attached to it, but I recall the devs saying we would be able to play "from 16 to 60". How could a 16 year old currier have fathered a child 17 years ago? I get that this is just a throwaway joke line for "Lady Killer", but it could cause a pretty good break in consistancy for those who give a crap about that stuff.

-Gunny out.

I don't think you should consider it canon. Even then, it'd only be canon for a male Courier having the Lady Killer perk.

I'd consider it the Courier being a smart ass or its only a truthful statement if the age slider is set up.
