I know right? It'd be easier as well because of the large amount of Chinese immigrants in the West.

Well I think there was a chinese paratrooper drop on DC. Not sure about that though.

But yea, need more chinese stuff. I loved the Chinese Assault Rifle in F3.

The Chinese army was infiltrating DC as part of their military campaign. Vegas does not have a core part of the American government or military to warrant striking there as part of the initial invasion. If the bombs dropped later than they did you would probably see the Chinese here.

Well, seeing as FO3 being set in D.C. it wouldn't be unusual for the Chinese to insert sleeper cells and such in the nation's capital.

I think it is because according to the game's canon and backstory, the Chinese never entered the mainland and only entered Alaska. Therefore, all that Chinese gear doesn't make a lot of sense and neither do the ghoulified Chinese remnants. But since FO3 is definitely canon then I guess all that equipment came from those ghouls who somehow made it into DC

Did the Chinese invade the Mojave desert!?
(Sounds odd to me ~ but also... I have not played to the end of NV yet.)

The Russians. Duh. :P

But, OT: Yeah. I was hoping to be able to get one of those nifty Chinese Commando hats again...however impractical a fur hat is in the Mojave, they look damn good.

All the Chinese are at San Francisco, creating and flourishing their Shi Empire as we speak.

DC Chinese, on the other hand, make me wanna palm face.

The desert gets suprisingly cold at night.

And who knows maybe that nuclear winter everyone wants will happen again!

I never really understood why there was so much Chinese stuff in Fallout 3. I could see a few things...like the spies and a few random pieces of equipment, but IMO there was way too much in FO3 to explain away as, "well, they sent a few spies in, see..." I dunno. I had to crank up my Suspension-o-Disbelief-o-Matic to 11 with some aspects of FO3. It's just better not to ask "why" sometimes.

Yeah, any place that has extremely low humidity is likely to get cold when the sun goes down. Water has a really high specific heat and can hold onto a lot of heat energy. That's why hot water burns the crap out of you while a hot piece of aluminum probably won't do much damage. Between standing water, water vapor, and cloud cover water is the main reason some places stay warm at night.
