Fences in the new vegas strip ?

Post » Sun Mar 06, 2011 11:54 am

Hi, I was just wondering. Why the strip is divided in 3 portions with some fences right in the middle of the avenue, while on the preview screensshots and videos, the strip didn't have these fences. it was one big avenue with all the neons and the people walking trough...

Is there a point in the game when these fences will be removed ??

I wondered this too!
and since there is literally a 1 second loading time when going through them, it cant be because buffering/resetting needs to be done; because that takes longer than 1 second.

That's probably there to reduce the strain on the hardware - loading the entire strip at once would be too much for most systems.

To much for consoles, you mean. Most PCs wouldnt have any issues if its already running the game fine.

Too much for the Xbox

I don't think so. Xbox isn't less powerful than the PS3. (All the screens i've seen of Fallout 3 seems to be taken from an Xbox 360 btw).

But these fences kills a little of the ambiance of the strip... I hope that a patch will come one day to remove them...

The PS3's processing power is superior to that of the Xbox 360, end of discussion.
Yeah because the Xbox 360 is more stable that's why they use it for live demo's and such :) :(

Console wars. Yay. [/sarcasm]

Now, on topic: I too am disappointed by the fences on the Strip.
