Comparing Fallout: New Vegas to another game...

Post » Sun Mar 06, 2011 6:37 am

I was hoping to have a conversation with NEW VEGAS players soliciting their thoughts on why they think games have gone from something like morrowind(to be known as the game that will not be named) to NEW VEGAS.

It would appear that even though the game that will not be named came out seven years ago and some of you may not have played it I won't actually be able to share with you aspects of the game that differ from NEW VEGAS since this is a NEW VEGAS forum and despite the fact that you're already familiar with NEW VEGAS I was given the impression that talking about another game too much is taboo...even if I'm asking you to compare/contrast/discuss them.

...

So, what happened between the game that will not be named and NEW VEGAS to "roles?" IMO, in NEW VEGAS you're locked into the mercenary role. That's what people call you and that's how you're treated. It was like that in F3 too, why do you think that is?

What happened?

I'm not trying to bash NEW VEGAS I'm just trying to discuss whether or not it's actually a "Role" Playing Game. NEW VEGAS that is.
