Mass creating ammo?

Post » Sun Mar 06, 2011 9:16 am

Ok, i've got a mod that makes creating ammo a bit easier, or so it says. I've currently got 6500 rifle primer that I can convert into pistol primer, but theres a catch, it seems I can only convert 100 of them at a time at max... I can't really be expected to sit here, scroll down the list, click the thing, convert it, go back into the reloading bench, and repeat this process SIXTY FIVE [censored] TIMES? Am I missing some magical option that allows me to make this process less tedious as hell, or maybe a mod I could download to raise the limit from 100 to something a bit higher?

Thanks.

Just do what I did and only make enough ammo to carry you through a prolonged encounter and head back to the reloading bench when you're low. Admittedly, this is easy for me to say because I have a sniper character that places all his emphasis on doing a massive amount of damage in a single shot - so making 100 or 200 rounds at a time is more than enough. If you're trying to make ammo for a fully-automatic gun and spits out bullets like candy, well...

I think I may have a phobia for EVER running out of ammo while in the field, considering my guns skill is the only thing that can actually kill things, and I only carry around one type of ammo using weapon at a time. But I mean, to atleast make it so the reloading bench wouldn't exit as soon as you make ONE thing would make the process a thousand times easier.

Thats almost exactly like the mod i'm using, the mod I was asking for was more for a solution to repeating a simple process over and over just because its got a 100 limit tied to it.

Same here. But I bet you would QUICKLY get over your phobia if you were playing in hardcoe mode - where ammo has weight. So you're almost forced to walk around with a reasonable amount (as opposed to an insane amount) otherwise you won't have any room left to carry extra stuff you might loot off of dead bodies or scavenge from places.

I played my first playthrough with hardcoe on, I just found it more tedious then I did hard, considering I always had enough food and water that as soon as anything went to minor sickness I could instantly cure it. This playthrough I just decided to turn it off. :\

Unrelated but this reminds me of computer hacking. Why make us back out after 3 tries? What's the point of forcing us to press B and then go through the process of watching the terminal load up again after every 3 tries? Isn't it tedious enough without having to back out and go back in every few tries? Just let us try until we successfully hack the thing!

Its probably just a simpler way to reset the words. If you could just infinitely try then it wouldn't be near as difficult seeing as you'd know the code in no time, if you don't get it fast enough the way it is you have to start over. I've never really used science very much so its never bothered me. :P

Good point, but it should just automatically reset after 3 tries.

The latest patch makes the usable options on reloading benches and workbenches rise to the top so we don't have to scroll as much to find them. It is still tedious to have the 100 limit. Though I do still have the occasion where I'm trying to give my companion a small of amount of something I have a huge amount of and going through 16000 bullets and waiting for the scroller to reach 50 is quiet annoying.
