Do you think a lot of this game is on hold for DLC?

Post » Sun Mar 06, 2011 2:33 pm

I mean when you think about it DLC makes a ton of money, Do you think that they have already made the DLC and are waiting for the game to be out 3 months and then they will release it?

People go on about vast amounts of the map being unused but do you think it's possible that these parts have been taken out and saved just for DLC?

I hope not, if it is done they better be refining it and picking out glitches instead of just putting it to the side until release.

Probably not as bad as Red Dead was. But I'm sure they have some content held for side play. I mean how fast did they come up with Holiday DLC for 360?? Too fast for massive production.

I was kind of thinking the same thing, I originally found the Northwest Passage about 20 minutes after getting Cass and she made a comment about how she had a skill that would aid in getting through there. But, depending on PC actions that may or may not be a possibility. Also with that being the general direction to New Canaan I doubt it would head that way with DLC, maybe the next installment.

So, I expect places to pop up in the DLC, but would love for FO4 (or whatever) to take place and have our previous actions have consequence.

Probably. That's just the business model these days.

I don't agree with it, but I don't necessarily blame them for doing it. It does work, after all.

Early adopters always end up paying through the nose. We'll play the game to exhaustion, buy the DLCs and then by the time we've seen everything there is to see, the deluxe edition will come out with all the extras, and a whole new group of consumers will buy it. That's just how it goes these days.

It seems like buying a game is like going to a car dealership the more I think about it.

Some games are like you paying for a car in cash on the spot. You drive off the lot and you own the car.

Games with DLC are more like a car you buy with a down payment. Sure, you can drive off the lot with the car sooner but it'll cost you more than if you just bought the car on the spot with cash.

With DLC you can get the core game sooner but you have to wait for the full package, then pay for it. I don't think it's really a raw deal. It does svck that you can't get the whole thing at once unless you wait a few months to a year for a game plus DLC to go to store shelves.

eh Im not too worried about any add-on DLC, I want some DLC that will rid the game of its current probs THEN add to the story n stuff. Plus I dont think theyd want to rush DLC on us too soon cuz most of us still have ALOT to do with this game. But I hear ya man I hope they have sum kickass future DLC tho!
