Unmarked Locations...

Post » Sun Mar 06, 2011 7:34 am

I found one between the Tribal Village (North of Goodsprings) and Red Rock Canyon, its a destroyed house with an Oasis next to it and a few mantises and Bighorners.

I found it pretty intresting.

Thats interesting. With so many useless locations you would think that there wouldn't be any unmarked ones. Although if you have wild wasteland
Spoiler
there is the place where the 3 aliens are hanging out and if you kill them all one has the Alien Blaster

Although this one is only if you have the Wild Wasteland Trait, if you don't it's something else or nothing.

Nothing that I would consider interesting or useful so far :(

Tried the wild wasteland trait, heard the funny music every now and and spent 10 minutes trying to find out what was going on.... one or two things did happen (or I presume it was connected to the trait.... how do I know?) I'm usually left wondering what happened and if I'm missing something etc.

No kidding. This might be the most dangerous place in the entire game.
Be ready to carry some extra weight, too, if you're a looter.

Without Wild Wasteland, it's a bunch of mercs, and the 'prize' is a YCS/186 Gauss rifle and Combat Armor MkII.

I assume you have Wild Wasteland as well? Because I don't think you find the bomb without it. I just had a bunch of Super Mutants with heavy weapons on them (Heavy Incinerator, Missile Launcher and maybe a Fat Man and a Super Sledge).

Other unmarked places I've seen are Deathclaw Promontory, the Train Tunnel, the Fabulous New Vegas sign, Lakelurk Cove and Bootjack Cavern. There are more, according to the Wikia, but I haven't gotten to all those others.

Same with me.

Had this encounter about 10times but couldn't tell if I found anything or not. Only once did I find something interesting and I was in the middle of doing something else. It was some kind of unique loot for the life of me I can't remember what it was I found (Ah, Olde Tymer's Disease—it's a curse.)

Had to go to the Wiki [post='Wiki: Wild Wasteland ']http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Wild_Wasteland[/post] and discovered I had actually found more than half of them without realizing it. Trivia is annoying unless you get the joke.

Ahyea, to the north-east of Nipton there is a little cave (not a loading zone) with a bunch of Vipers or Jackals and some crates with explosives in them.

No, you don't need Wild Wasteland for that. My 1st character didn't have it, and I found it. Frankly, in the FO universe, an unexploded nuke and some Super Mutants isn't really that wild.
