hi i have lost my two followers (ed-e and veronica)... was on the strip going to see the ncr ambassador after getting his invitation and got attacked by ncr mp troopers. went into vault 21 to lose them but they came in with me but not my followers. knocked out mps and put on ncr armor i had. went outside vault 21 to get followers and fast travel away for a few days to try again but followers not there... tried to go to where i first got veronica but she wasnt there and ncr troops start shooting at me on sight and chase when i run away.. don't know why they are shooting because my rep with them is idolized but any ncr location i go to they start shooting immediatly and still have not got my followers back either. tried changing armor/apparel and going back to vault 21 and ncr embassy to see if they are there but they are not...any help???

I don't know about your companions, but was this after the Things that Go Boom quest? I completed that, talked to the ambassador, got a boost to my NCR rep to the point where I was idollized by the NCR, and then as i was leaving these NCR MPs come out of nowhere, tell me they are happy to find me outside the strip, and then start going at me with cattle prods. I tried to surender to no avail. I had Cass with me and she blasted them away. Then my reputation goes down, and then more of them attack me and so on. This was so annoying. I lost 20 minutes of gameplay having to reload an older save.
