How do I fix my Armour that I got in the DLC

Post » Sun Mar 06, 2011 5:01 am

I guess I was not paying attetion and now my Vault armour that I got in the DLC is down to 0 and I can't equipe it. I had to go and get someone else to fix it so I can have it again. Sort of embarrasing since I am playing Mr Fix it in my game. So I am shamed now that I had to go to someone else to fix it.

So is there a way to fix my Valutl DLC armour without getting someone else to fix it?

This. With the jury rigging perk, you can repair light armor with any other light armor/clothing, medium with medium and heavy with heavy. Otherwise, you have to get it fixed.

Or perhaps you can have Raul as a companion? As I understand, he'll fix stuff for free if he's tagging along with you?

He extends the durability of items. He'll fix it at his shack for a price.

Raul only fixes things if hes been dismissed to his Shack and you still have to pay him.

I take issue with that fact. If I can repair an item in the field by cannabalizing weapons, why can't he use his "tools" in the field to repair things? I know he says he doesn't have them, but pick them up for Pete's sake! I'll fast travel you to your shack to get them! Or at the very least, any workbench should do.

There's no form repair for most of the DLC items. They're meant to be cast off quickly and replaced with other gear, or repaired using the juryrigging perk(as mentioned).

I do realize you said most not all, but the caravan pack DLC lightweight leather armor is easily repaired with normal leather armor.
