Hi everyone,

I dunno about you people. but since the new patch update. I don't have my canteen anymore.

I have a legit copy that came with a code for my classic pack.

should I call and get them to send me a file or something? like how does this work?

NV was patched finally? I have been waiting for PC to get another patch since the game was released. Unplayable with all the bugs/crashes atm.

Don't bother, patch broke more things than it fixed.

You have bugs on the PC? really? I havent had one problem at all and I have sunk a lot of time into it, I'm on my second play through. Whats making it so unplayable atm? I guess some people are just unlucky to get a bugged out disk or something or the sort, real shame.

Have you tried to make a new character and see if the canteen is on that one? It is possible to sell or store your canteen somewhere, you might have done that without realizing. I know I've done that before with other things. I still have my canteen, and it works fine, so...

Weird, I just patched and I have the classic pack. Everything's fine for me... canteenwise anyway.

You could check to ensure the Canteen dlc is being loaded.

* What did the recent patch break?

The worst I've seen in the way of bugs was Sneaky Pete's floating head, and geckos & scorpions stuck in the ground. (and one powder ganger peeking his head out of a giant rock)

I haven't had any issues (PC) other than a few crashes (rare) and stuck in a rock once or twice. I wonder how many bugs are bugs versus people misunderstanding something in the game play. Seems odd some people are smooth sailing on a PC while others say it is unplayable.

I wouldn't mind seeing the list sorted by PC manufacturer, and installed video hardware.

Not to drag this too far off topic, but I've had pretty good (bug free) luck on my Gateway i7 (ATI HD 4850) on ultra high settings AND on my Toshiba i3 laptop (Nvidia M310) on medium settings.

Good point - I would be curious as well. I am on Windows 7 w32-bit with a GeForce 8800 gtx. I just know I would hate to code for so many different configurations!

To the OP: when you first launch the game instead of selecting Play, select Data Files (should be the next option down) - make sure that both files in your Data Files list are checked (one will be the main esm file for New Vegas, the other will be for whichever pre-order pack you have), then try starting the game once they are both checked.

I'm on PC and count myself in the group that has experienced little to no bugs (a couple of minor glitches but not a case of "rain stopped play" by any stretch of the imagination!)

Make sure the data file is being loaded.

The day after the patch, I was browsing the net prior to loading up NV and saw 3 messages from steam - the first two saying that Fallout New Vegas had finished downloading (ie the patch) and then I saw a third saying that Fallout New Vegas DLC "Caravan Pack" had finished downloading. It seems like it re-downloaded the bonus pack after the patch. Maybe your update hadn't completed properly? I dont know.

As a side comment, as a PC user, I havent noticed this patch breaking anything else. Then again, I havent suffered from many bugs anyway. Not game breakers anyway.

Mine tells me it's downloaded the Caravan Pack DLC every time I start it(pre patch and post), although I can see the esm and bsa files in my folder and it's checked it the data file menu.
