One thing unfinished : Fallout: New Vegas

I am about to end this playthrough, but one thing must be finished.
I searched "ED-E" but nothing came up, long story short, i lost him, and i cant finish Rex's quest because he is still my companion. I left him someplace, how long do i have to wait until he returns to Primm, because I have 100% forget where i left him

Rex sat down on me at one point, and it took two nights gaming to find him again...

Go to Vault 22.
Use Elevator.

There are posts on finding him using the editor ~ so don't give up.

In the faq's above I think a mod posted that you should wait 7 game days (another solution). This is easy to try, just save game and go forward 7 or 8 days and see if he shows up and if he doesn't then you'd better find the posts that tell you about using the editor (note there are like 3 ED-E's so be careful).

He was right behind me when i went into Bloodborne cave then POOF! I still have his perk tho... BUT I HAVE MET DR. HENRY AND GOT LUPAS BRAIN WHEN I ATTACKED THE FORT AND KILLED CAESAR, I DONT WANT REX TO BE LEFT LIKE THIS WHEN I COULD HELP HIM!

I did that, it worked for Boone but not Sputnik

Try back-tracking.
I set Raul to wait once and after playing for 2 hours I finally noticed "Where the hell is Raul?".
And so I had to back-track to every location I've been at to find him. (Did not know about Vault 22 thing back then.)

Wikia had this to say on the problems tab with ED-E:

ED-E can disappear, but still be listed as your companion (you still will have enhanced sensors perk). NPCs will still make comments about ED-E, but he's not there. This is very problematic in instances like visiting Ceasar, as you must tell your companions to wait, but you can't because he's not there. This was on the 360, after ED-E was upgraded by the followers.

Nope, I upgraded with the BoS and I have the same problem. I don't even remember telling him to wait.

Told Ed-E to return to Lucky 38.
Never did show up.
While wandering around the wasteland, I just happened to find him.
He was stuck in the landscape.
Once I asked him to join me, he followed without problems.

So, basically - just go wandering around, you may run across him.
