Caears Legoins Assassins!

Post » Sun Mar 06, 2011 11:16 am

Now I am not sure whether this is a bug or just happen stance. I was heading to Novac when I cam across The Legion attacking a caravan. Well I am playing a good guy so I lent a hand. First it took like forever to kill this last Legionaire, I assume thetype of ammo I was using, I need AP because of their armor. But I killed him finally. I went to check the caravan and three Legion Assassins shows up with a contract to kill my toon. Like wait a minute it could not have been more than 2 minutes game time, so how come they got the word so quickly. They got cell phones and a teleporter too!!?? In Fallout 3 it took a little while for the Talon contract hitters to show up. Not with in a minute or two after I wack a legionaire. Perhaps this is a bug.

Well the NCR use radios, do Caesars Legion ? or maybe just fast Scouts, after all Caesar's commanders under him can make decisions, and they are closer at least.

Spoiler
With enough fame with them NCR give you a radio call in help

Had the same situation with the Booted quest. The second I finished the last legionaire, three assassins charge over the hill. Absolutley rediculous. I had just made 10th and it was a horrible fight (used up all my health aids and most of my good ammo). Later I found out their level which made it even more rediculous...that I won.

If the Legion use fast scouts then they are faster than the Flash...as are the assassins.

Sophistry dude! There were three legionaire ambushers and all died. So how did they find out so quickly, like I said two minutes game time elapsed before the assisns showed up? This is a bug, one of I think many in Fallout New Vegas. I might go back to Fallout 3 unitl they patch this game.

If that's the worst BUG you get playing NV, you're doing pretty good.

Caesar has eyes everywhere. You could just think of it like some settlers who are undercover saw what you did and rushed into action.

Minute or two? Cell phones? Pfah! They're on Mothership Zeta, watching on the scanners and beaming down to the trouble spots.

I jumped two legionaires, and went to "We're sending assassins after you" and had 3 assassins attacking me- before the second legionaire was dead. :D

I'm not talking minutes, I'm talking 3-6 seconds from the first legionare's death.

There could have been an explorer or disguised Frumentari observing you from a distance, and Legion does use radios, the Legion spy in Camp McCarran was in radio contact with his legion overlord.

I got the same thing.

Went to Novac and after talking to the legion there decided to kill them.

As i was leaving town a group of assasins ran up and attacked near the Rest Stop(?).

The event was locked in and it took several death reloads before i was finally able to win the fight.

Ha, yeah been plenty of occasions like this when people seem to have telekinesis.

Like how fast your rep travels (ie.instantaneous), everybody knows your exact business as soon as you do anything and of course need to make consistent judgements about you...eg.Every NCR trooper I've never met telling me to pick a side because they did.

One particularly annoying woman somehow discovered me stealing whilst in another room... I'd looted this room with out any trouble, then left and entered the room next door finding this woman sitting at a table doing crap all. I walk up to chat to her and suddenly she says hey that doesn't belong to you then takes everything I've looted in the past 10 minutes of sneaky looting and I can't do a thing (short of taking her out)...

Would be a nice extra touch if it took some time for news to spread, might open up some game play options too such as being able to cover your crimes before word spreads.

"Stop! You violated the law! Pay the court a fine or serve your sentence. Your stolen goods are now forfeit!"

The telapathic Imperial Guards can communicate with each other to catch criminal scum after they have fled to a different city.

I just wish they'd show up more often. A couple squads and I haven't seen any since - ages, really. I liked how Talons/Regulators kept showing up with some frequency, hunting for my dude :)

They were too busy shooting radios in your fallout world.

The only reason my level 4 character survived their onslaught which happened the morning after I discovered what happened at Nipton (I... got mad... and things happened) was because I'd managed to make a perfect condition Cowboy repeater from looted corpses and also had the Mercenary Pack DLC from buying the game in a certain place.

Haven't bothered me since, though.
