Dead Kennedys cover of Viva Las Vegas........okay maybe not.

It probably isn't as simple as slapping an Elvis song into the game because you want it. The original wish list probably rarely resembles what they end up with/get permission to use.

I would have liked to see some Bobby Vinton, I think Mr. Lonely would have fit nicely. Blue Velvet would have been nice to hear, and Bobby's version is far superior to Tony Bennet's.

Also I would have found it totally amusing if they had 'Volare' from Al Martino, due to reasons that should be obvious.

I already am embarrassing myself, so I will not name 10 more songs. I will go listen to some Primus so I don't feel totally older than I am.

Yeah, it's a shame they couldn't get songs from people like these, but I understand that it would've been mega expensive and I reckon they achieved much much more with their budget. I voted Elvis though - if they had a the cash for it, it would have been great (Frank was a close second in my mind)

Not on the pole but "Sing sing sing" by Benny Goodman would have been a good song to add in. I just crank up youtube as my makeshift pipboy 3000 radio.

Voted for them all, with a special mention/nod to the Red Elvises,. I'm not sure how genre specific the group would be to the Fallout world, but they do mesh in well with the Six String Samurai universe.

Just guessing here, probably the reason some of the excellent songs suggested here were not included (besides the cost factor) is because of the timing.

Viva Las Vegas didn't "come out" until the 60's. Ditto with Sinatra's take on Mack the Knife - although Bobby Darin and Louis Armstrong did the song in the 50's. Still not sure why there's no Hank Williams "on the radio".

Gunfighter Ballads and Trail Songs was actually my first album. I still love it today. Glad to see a fellow man with such good taste :tops:

BTW Little Green Valley is awesome. I love how that album has the sadder songs like They're Hanging Me Tonight but it has happy songs like Hundred And Sixty Acres In The Valley.
