That still doesn't address the fact that if you live in a rural area, you cannot get reliable high speed internet, no company is going to lay cable or fibre-optics to people who live in villages with a small population because it's just not profitable - and if you live far from a telephone exchange (as tends to be the case in rural areas) you cannot get decent speeds through your phone line either.

This point has already been made, but no doubt will need to be pointed out again and again - it's easy if you live in a more highly populated area to forget that not everyone has access to the same amenities that you are blessed with.

Internet gaming isn't my style. the closest I get is to get patches & mods for the games that support those.

Cost really isn't the only issue, it's availability. DSL has range limitations so for the moment at least it can't reach me.

there isnt going to be a GOTY Edition, because FNV sure as [censored] isnt going to get GOTY. Fallout 3 was 100 times better than FNV. lol

I prefer beliveable story lines with tons of depth.

the thing is that Steam requires the game to be fully patched before letting the user try it out. & the the patches are huge I hear.

Clearly I was mislead.

The console versions are narrowband friendly.

but alas they are not mouse/keyboard or mod friendly & I don't even own a 360 or a PS3
