Essentially using a form of tokamak's device, one could create a small fusion reaction in a magnetic bottle the heat and radiation would funnel out one end. The bottle is capable of holding a plasma at temperatures of 300,000,000 degrees celcius. Well beyond the requirement of atmospheric pressure and temputure it takes to create a stable fusion reaction. The gun would be no smaller then a rifle. The trigure when pulled will create a hotspot on the star and within fractions of a second swith the magnetic poles flinging out a lethal cmd or coronal mass ejection. In this case a miniature one. Anything in front of the blast would be incenerated and radiation would be thrown beyond that until the energy dissipates from the natural forces at force on it like gravity wind the turning if the earth. Powerful weapon. It would take hours to create another hotspot and would require a mastery of science to use it

Lol I actually did watch that. It was quality, both the microwave bomb and the show in general I mean. I don't know if that would work in real life or not though, I was too scared to try it. It would have been a waste of a good kitchen, and a face if I didn't get out of the way in time.

No the plasma doesn't kill them the heat that is a by product spirals out the end. Yes its one hit you would have to be a god to live. But as I said you would have to have a mastery of science and it has a recharge time. So not everyone could use it and it would be concidered a special or unique weapon.

Men in black? Are you kidding me? This requires advanced research in fusion and bank technologies to even make a prototype. It would only be possible in 2050 to 2077 that fallout is based out of.

the question remains could you manufacture said hardware without the software to back it up?

as you'll recall the fallout universe is divergent from our own in the 1950s. we decided to make smaller computers, which was the biggest benefit to society. in the fallout universe, all the governments of the world are extremely corrupt and self-serving, thus they only dedicated resources to nuclear research.

it would be a cool gun, for sure, but its a little too high tech for even fallout. the "high tech" stuff in fallout is in reality low quality test prototypes from before the war. power armor, etc.

this type of weapon fits more into the XCOM universe.

I really don't care what he is trying to convey in his OP. He came off like a jerk.

Profiling may be considered wrong, but it works. People are stupid. Most gamers I've met in my life are below stupid. The method in which fusion technology theoretically would work is beyond most people's grasp though, not just gamers.

I know it was meant as a warning not trying to be mean it was more like a disclamer because as I was typing it up on my droid I realized most wont understand.

It actually does fit in fallout. Remember libierty prime? Know what posted it. You know those tiny fission batters that could work the other way. The science is there. I know it seems pretty advanced but I wouldn't be surprised to find one prototype in an abandoned enclave or box base maybe even the ncr psi. It is impressive bit of of recent tech advances and wouldn't be suurprised if some young scientist besides myself reads this and desires to pattent it and call up did or some other optimistic government program.

I assure you will get no answers to questions here by inenuating the folks at Bethesda and or those members who you are asking for assistance is lacking in the mental capacity to comprehend.
