For the 360, right? Not sure you can. I think you need start New gamertag/profile.

There is a method within the system settings (at least I think its in system settings) that allows you to reset acheivement prompts. ie you can get the little popup saying "you've got an achievment!" again. However doing this does not delete your gamerscore nor add any gamerscore to your gamertag. In short all that happens is that you get the prompt again when you reacheive it, but you can't reset your gamerscore to zero and make it so that you have never acheived it before, you have to start a new gamertag for that. If you want specifics on how to reset the acheivements in the way that i have attempted to explain, you can find out more information either on the xbox website or checking out the xbox101 channel on xbox live. Thats were I learned about it a couple years ago...can't say I've ever tried it though.

Is there a file somewhere in steam that can be deleted, to force a reset? If you remove the ini file the game will write a new .ini file.

If not ! Though weve paid hard earned cash for the game, we still do not own it?

Thats like putting in new Windows, then having to ask permission when you want to open them lol

Steam achievements are tied to your Steam account, and are stored online. So, no. There isn't anyway to reset them.

Any particular reason why you want to earn the achievements again? Just curious....

If it's the 'External' Achievements then I'm not sure if you can reset them.

If it's the 'Internal' ingame Achievements, the only method I know of is to start a new character.

The Ingame Achievements as far as I've noticed/discovered can give variable rewards for completing them, such as exp, caps, perks or suchlike.

When I start New games, I always like to start from Zero of everything. I clear out all Old saves, old mods that have been used. Then run a clean install.

It seems to cut down the CTD or any other crashes.

I cannot say I ever bother about achievements but this was an interesting question.

Achievements on Steam CAN be reset, Team Fortress has/used to have(?) support for this via the built in console, not a game I play. The ability to reset Achievements may depend on how they have been implemented, I have no idea of the ins and outs.

A third party application, Steam Achievement Manager, allows you to reset Achievements in some games. It DOES NOT currently support NV.

Now for the warnings:

Before attempting to reset Steam Achievements you should first contact both Steam and Ob or Beth. If they say no, and they probably will, I'd think twice about trying. The reason for contacting these companies is to avoid as best you can any chance of having your Steam account locked through suspected hacking activities. Contacting them may also highlight this feature as one they could implement at some time in the future.

I would certainly think twice about running ANY software not officially sanctioned by Steam that connects to my Steam account.

I also thought twice about posting this information as it may prove dangerous but it took less than ten seconds to search out the basics so I think the warnings justify the post.

This is the Only game I have using Steam. To be honest I had never heard of it before this game. :blush:

Having explained briefly reasons for a clean install. Just started a New Game, issues have come up which wouldn't happen with a clean install. but I could be wrong."Not the first time" lol

Come out of the Doctors,"LeveL 1". walking around the town as you do. First creature I come across is A Giant Radscorpian. oo:. One of the persons for the first Quest had already been killed. Far too powerful Creature for a Level 1 Players. Good Job I knew where Victor was lol

When reinstalling its not coming from the Disk, but its downloading over the top of the game it has not clear beforhand, causing overlapping.
Maybe i'm being dumb, whats the point of having the game on Disk if Steam ignores it.Seems like a waste of a Disk. :shrug:
