Why are NCR dogs covered in cuts? : Fallout: New Vegas

Even the Legion's mongrels are coated in fur, why do the NCR own dogs that are the exact model of fiend dogs? Surely they'd treat them better than that...

Old wounds from fights with the Legion. The NCR dogs are all seasoned vets, while the legion has to get new ones. At least thats what I like to think.

The legions dogs are a different breed to the NCR's......you can talk to the houndmaster at the legion camp about them breeding their own dogs.

Why the NCR isn't using the scavengers dogs and is instead using the feral type is another guestion.....maybe because their used as guard dogs in FO3?

they are probably picking them from places in mojave,maybe beacause they may be tougher because of their survival?

Yeah you find those in the weirdest places. To begin with, if I found one in someones oven I just shot them for being a cannibal. But then I realised that they can be found in quite a lot of ovens lol.

That is because for some unknown reason Obsidian decided to use the Andale stove for many areas. I noticed that in the Geck.

Thats right. They're actually just the same wild dogs from fallout 3 which are now friendly and part of the NCR faction and in regrards to why Bethesda made them look the way they do is because of the fact that they've been exposed to radiation and gotten into some pretty rough fights. http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Vicious_dog
