Anyway Items to Permanently Increase SPECIALS or Skills : Fallout: New Vegas

Hey, I just started FNV and was wondering if there were any items that would increase skills or SPECIALS like in FO3. I know there are snow globes but I'm wondering if there are anything like bobbleheads. Thanks in advance!

There is a place where you can buy "implants" to raise SPECIALs.

Nothing like the bobbleheads in New Vegas. There is a medical clinic that sells statboosting implants, but they cost quite a few caps. Skillbooks also increase their related skills by 3, while magazines increase skills only temporarily.

There are also 5 science skill books and 4 skill books for each of the other skills.

If you get Comprehension perk then you would get +20 science and +16 for each of the other skills if you find all the skill books. (comprehension perk makes each skill book give you +4 points)

Just a caution with the implants:

You can raise each SPECIAL stat only once, and only one for each point of Endurance (5 END = 5 implants).
