can anybody tell me what is the purpose of this

Part Easter Egg, part hint about where to find various factions/stuff if you somehow haven't located them yourself.

In the Collectors Edition we got a comic book named All Roads which depict a small story about Benny, Chase, Jessup and McMurphy prior to their capture of The Courier (The player).

Chase made that map in the comic book.

I'm not going to lie. I read it in the graphic novel, and I get the reference, but that map to anyone who simply buys the standard game will see a pile of junk.

I won't lie. I didn't buy the Collector's Edition so when I saw the map I spent a good twenty to thirty minutes trying to figure out if the map led to some treasure of some sort.

i read the thing. but i dont see anything in that map at all.

nothing. i knew it was supposed to be a map. but it looked nothing like the other maps.
