Perks You'd Like to See

Post » Sun Mar 06, 2011 9:37 pm

In Fallout 3, the DLC only expanded the game so far. After you completed the story carried with them, there was no point to them except for the few perks and weapons. Broken Steel brought along the best perks, one of which included the Nuclear Anomoly. I'm hoping to see some expanded perks in Dead Money when it comes out in a month or two, and not just some fancy bear trap fists and a casino you can't gamble at.

One of the perks I'd like to see is a companion expansion perk, one that increases the cap of followers you can have at a time. So if I took the perk, I could have 2 humanoid companions follow me along with Rex or ED-E. Or I could have ED-E, Rex, and a humanoid character. What would also be nice about it is to have ranks of said perk that go up to the maximum of the followers the game supports.

Other ideas, anyone?

Quite enjoyed that simply because I love stealing everything and anything from people in the Turn-based FOs, be incredibly useful in these ones.

I'd like to see the Infiltrator perk tweaked:
Rank 1: Very Hard locks have a 30% chance to be force picked rather than 10%, you can also re-pick a previously failed force pick
Rank 2: Very Hard locks have a 50% chance to be force picked rather than 10%, you can also re-pick a lock that has failed two force picks.
Now, all force lockpicks stop at 90%, none, not even Very Easy should go up to 100% success rate.
Why would I want this?
Cause I would like the lock-pick to be based on dice-roll rather than a minigame.

And add a perk for hacking as well.
You get 5 chances to auto-hack a computer with 30% chance on each hack.
Very Easy computer get a 80%
Easy get 75%
Normal get 40%
Hard get 35%
And Very Hard get 30%

I absolutely HATE the minigames. <_<

Awww. I love the minigames. The lockpick minigame is one of the few I've seen in a game that got the idea right (aside from Splinter Cell).

I love minigames --- that aside.

More stylish Perks (cowboy, ninja)

More Special moves

More armour orientated perk (like travel light)
