How do you know if it's a good game if you're not even past the tutorial yet?

( I'm not bashing the game here )

Where should you go, indeed? That's the beauty of the game. Go wherever you want, dude!

Agreed and disagreed with. I went north because so many NPCs said I'd die, so to try and prove a point to the NPCs I did just that. And got my ass kicked, which I expected. If you've never played a non scaled game it might be a good lesson that you cannot take on the world right away, like it should be.

Right - and therefore listening to what npcs say, and their advice is a good idea. As well as noticing those signs that say "danger" etc. After taking in that info, it's up to you to make up your own mind. And whether your character cares about finding out who shot him/her. If he does, then direction is fairly obvious. If not, then anywhere is good. For me it really comes down to character motivation.

Head south, it's easier. Head north before your character is ready and you will die a miserable and annoying death.

EDIT: Oh I see someone beat me to it!

Basically to see if the game is serious or if I could pull it off. It's rare recently for a game to mean business like starting you mere moments for horrendous Deathclaw death. I thought maybe there would be some tough guys but I might be able to pull it off. Wasn't possible, but I sure did try and had a good time.

Ah yes, where should you go. The beautiful question. I'm almost jealous.

I went to Primm too. I recommend heading up the I5 north then northeast, until you reach a large curvy road up a mountain, ignore any warning signs and ascend.
