Uninstall New Vegas?

Post » Sun Mar 06, 2011 5:34 pm

I realise this is possible sacrilage, but how do you uninstall New Vegas? I've played the game three times now, and due to my hard-drive being full would like the space back (I'll reinstall again next year when DLCs come out)

I can't find an option to uninstall in Steam or in Control Panel. Can I just delete the Fallout folder?

Thanks in advance

It's on steam right?
I think you can right-click its name on the Games tab in the steam menu to get the option to uninstall it.

No, can't find it. There is "delete local content" - is that the same, or does that only delete downloaded patches/saved games?

Right click the game on the Steam window and choose "Delete local content".

You will still have the saves file in My Docs or Library (dependant on OS) so should you decide to download it at a later date you can always pick up from one of those saves.

I guess they say "local content" as it still remains on Steam as available if you want to download it again, but yeah it is not immediately obvious. :)

Done, sorted, closed.
