Because it would really help if it was a patch..

Companions are marked on local and world maps as of the 1.1.1 incremental patch released on Nov. 10th for the PC.

I would expect the same feature on consoles when the upcoming comprehensive patch is released.

Oh my gosh yes, I hope the comprehensive patch does'nt break my game like the first did for some..
