Ehhhhh, to be honest, it felt like a Micheal Bay movie.

Besides, the modded stuff just felt to....off.

I liked the cinematography of it. :goodjob:

But yeah. As Colonel Martyr stated, the modded stuff just felt a bit out of place and tacky.

I liked it. What do you use to capture and edit the footage, by the way?

I used Fraps to capture the video and I used a demo version of Adobe Premiere to edit the footage.

It was nicely enough put together but it didn't feel very fallouty for me.
So if I were to rate it on it's own merits then a 8/10 I guess.
On a fallout merit it would be 3/10 though.

Excellent video!

I really enjoyed it! did you use a software like FRAPS to record the video? how did you do so many third person camera moves?

I like what you did to create a narrative with the opening, stumbling on the murder scene.

I had no idea that you could use tools like this to make such a cinematic short film. If this is your first New Vegas project, I look forward to seeing your next videos as well. After seeing this, I imagine you can create something very entertaining.

Same here. Very good technically and a great production...but not Fallout. :)

Entertaining tho, in that action-movie kind of way.

Eh, I think it could use some serious work.
Kinda cheesy, and plus, Boone and Veronica could not be kidnapped. Her powerfist with his gun skills are enough to keep the powder gangers at bay.
It was a nice try though.

I like the armor. Looks a bit more like some modern combat armor. And, OH MY GOD sleeves and gloves on armor meant for combat? Will wonders never cease...

The movie, on the other hand? Eh...

I can attest to the notion that making such a video takes a lot of work, so kudos for the time put into it so we could enjoy watching it. :)

...NV is the 1st time in years I've tried to make videos of a game, and these days you have all these tools & yet that almost makes it worse. Even for simpler videos I spend more time trying to edit/splice/combine, save a high quality version and then save a resized, compressed for YT version then I spend playing the game. Haven't decided if it's worth it, lol.

I thought it was a good amateur film. But as always, there were things you could have added/left out

First of all, the mods looked horrible. If this wasn't a Fallout movie I wouldn't mind, but it being Fallout it looked utterly terrible. The whole eye scope and ghillie suit thing was way to Modern Warfare

Second, Why did you keep the scene where he first sees the companions? It looked so akward and horrendous. You seemed to be going for a "prison breakout" theme which was great. But why did the Courier have to talk to each companion individually and stand around a bit before leaving the prison? I would have gotten them running the hell out of there! Also, the whole vertibird escape felt too much like Modern Warfare 2 or some Michael Bay movie.

Third, The explosion ending was nice, remember the shot after it blew up? You should have used that for the explosion scene. The explosion itself seemed small and contained where you were shooting from. I think it would have been bigger and more destructive if you panned out.

So if it is not supposed to be a Fallout movie. I give it 4/10. If it's supposed to be Fallout. I give 1/10. Here's why,

Cinematography: 5/10 (You had good shots, but it could have been extremely improved)
Music 6/10 (Good music, but a little too techno in some places.it just didn't fit the Fallout atmosphere)
Plot: 3/10 (Typical prison escape plot that wasn't very well done. I'm looking at you talking to companion scene.)
I would go more into detail on this, but i think you get my point.

All in all well done amateur film.I'm not trying to be mean, just a little constructive criticism. :) I hope you take this into thought in your next film.
