Next Patch: Divide game saves by character on XBOX 360.

Post » Tue May 10, 2011 4:01 pm

I'm kind of annoyed that saves for different characters are jumbled together in the same "folder." Can't they be divided like in Mass Effect 2?

It's really annoying. . .

Why only 360?

This, with emphasis.

Further, since the console still allows access to do it (thus proving the functionality is still there) how about being able to oh, I dunno, name your saves? But of course that's just more of Standard Modern Gaming Procedure: "Let the fans mod it in, what are we- game developers or something?"

Oh hell yeah, this would be so incredibly useful. Any RPG that demands extensive save-game micromanagement should have this as standard.

This would be a nice feature, but it's something people have been asking for since Morrowind at least. In other words, I doubt it's going to happen.

I don't know if the other versions have this feature. I have the 360 version.

I agree I hope future Fallout and Elder Scrolls games on the 360 have a seperate folder for each character you create. Its not that bad for New Vegas or Fallout 3 since when you save it goes to the top but Oblivion its confusing at times because you have to pay attention or you'll overwrite a different save.

On the PC we can name our saves without mods. enter the console command area then type "save (name goes here)" its quicker then the menu save too

:icecream:

There that is for beating me to the question.

Dragon Age has this feature and while it took me some getting used to I really like it as a premise.

Would be nice, but I couldn't care less.
I name my characters like "Carlos [Unarmed]" and stuff so I don't mess them up. :)

It has never been a problem for me, I rarely have more than one save for each charecter. and only make mulitples when I am at a point where I know, or think, that what I am about to do next will be difficult. after wards I delete all the extra saves. but thats me, and I can see how seperate save folders would be convienant.

and if you think about it, the 360 already does, just only for different gamer profiles, and that would just be more of a hassle.
