Having trouble loading my games.

Post » Tue May 10, 2011 10:48 pm

Just want to start out with sayin' that i'm a big fan of the Fallout series and New vegas have been so far a good game. The only problem is that I play the xbox version and it has a lot of minor issues, for example, the quest with Raul and the thing i'm about to say now.

Well, after I had visited the Lone Traveler and got hold of his revolver, I went to the Freeside to finish the mission I was currently doing. When I entered Freeside there were no problems so I continued. On the way to the Strip the usual events in the Freeside got hold me, which is random thugs and King members who wanted to give stuffs. After a dialogue with a Ghoul that I had weird enough missed I decided afterwards that it wasn't so smart to make him upset, so I decided to reload my autosave (When entering Freeside)

And now comes the problem.

''This saved game relies on downloadable Contet That is no longer available, do you want to continue loading?''

Uhm, yes ..

''The storage device you selected is no longer available. Load cancled.''

Wait, what?

And it says that to all my saves now. The froth is that I never have connected my Xbox to the internet, not even to a broadband. So it must have been impossible for me to able to install any''Downloadable Contet''and even if I for some funny reason could have done it so why should the latter disappear? I have played about 65 hours and I would feel a little bit sad if I would have to start over again. Could it be a bug/glitch or is just me being an idiot as usual and not seein' the obvious? And is there some other way to get the patches without having to add Xbox Live?

I'm not sure if this is the right section.. If not, my apologies. Thanks for reading and please help me if u can.

No, you are not an idiot, good sir. Not more than the rest of us who bought this, the most buggy game in the history of computergaming. And you are not the only one with this problem, I can assure you. Browse this forum, and you will not feel lonely about it anymore.
I'm on the 360 myself, but I haven't been bothered by any gamebreaking bugs yet, so I'm among the few who can enjoy the game.
I am, nevertheless, going to shelf it for some time and wait for the DLC to come out around the 21 this month, hoping a patch will be released at the same time.
I suggest you do the same. And be happy that you are a 360'er. The DLC is for us, exclusively.

I hope somone else can help you if you are not that patient...

Thanks for the answer, I really appreciate it.

Guess I'll have to wait unless someone else comes with a better solution.

Did you download the Classic Pack Pre-order?

If so I would start a new game, there is no way they're going to uncorrupt your save file.

Also im pretty sure this isn't the buggiest game ever.

I don't have those bugs, but I feel your pain.

Bethsidian is testing the patch right now, and it should be realsed soon.
