I was wanted to know is the start a little slow? I mean to work on the main story line? I'm on my second play through, and I can't carry on the storyline until I level up, to get the required stats to do certain parts of storyline quests.

Or is it just me?

Yeah the start is a little slow, I suppose you d on't NEED to have the stats for it, they just make it possible to do the quest the way you want.
But doing some quests and then finding out you need 70 speech for it when I only have 49 = :banghead: :swear: :banghead: :swear: :banghead: :swear:

Soooo... People complain that it's to easy to rush through the main quest at a low level... and you are complaining that you can't rush through it fast enough? :shrug:

There is such a thing as pacing. Difficult to do in a game like this, yes. But they do try to arrange it so you have to wander around and at least see SOME of this world they created for us to explore in and not rush straight to the end like you can't wait to stop playing...

It's probably possible to finish the game at level 1, since none of the required parts are particularly difficult.

Near Impossible I tried to run to the strip and stealthing past creatures but there are either Deathclaws or Cazadors on the way so....Quite impossible.


I imagine it might be easy at like lvl 10 though.

I don't get why people keep saying that there are so many Deathclaws on the way to New Vegas. Sure, there's Cazadores, but I always spot them far away so I could easily sneak past them if I wanted (though I'm quite capable of killing them on my own), or are you talking about the way through Sloan? I've only found that place once out of the many new games I've started, and every single time I've played through a game I've never come across any Deathclaws.

Have you ever tried traveling on the route past Boulder City?

I've gone past the Cazadores AND the Deathclaws at level 1 on my way to New Vegas, Cazadores were far easier though, Deathclaws are hard to sneak past or dodge, for the Cazadores, just keep running and jumping, don't look back, they'll only hit you two or three times, a few stimpacks solves that though, and there's some anti venom in the Doc's office at the start.

Impossible for these reasons:
1: When you beat a main quest you have to get xp and level up to level 2+, so you can't stay level 1 the whole game and beat it.
2: The last part is too hard for a level 1 guy to finish.
3: Strong wild animals and people will kill a level 1 guy.
