Rating scale- between 1-5

things to grade the weapons by.

Damage-(does it deal good damage)

Ammo availability-(how easy is it to obtain ammo for)

Reliability-(is it accurate?, are the iron sites good or bad?)

Overall usefulness- (Overall how does it score)

Our first weapon-9mm submachine gun

I rate it a 3.5, cuz the damage is fair, the ammo is plentiful and the accuracy is fair.

I'd have to say 4/5. Get the hand load ammo in there, and you got a reliable side arm. Iron sights are better than the .357, although overall its not as badass as the .357 (the single loading gives it the edge)
Ammo can be a little scarce in the early stages, but finding ammo isn't too hard once you get into the game a bit.
You spring for the unique .44, 5/5 for sure. Gotta love that guitar riff every time you draw/put away that beauty.

9mm submachine gun

Damage- :turtle:

Mediocre DAM. Fair DPS. Lacks hand loaded ammo options to boost damage output.

Ammo availability- :turtle:

Ammo can be found in large numbers, yet also must be expended in large numbers. Lack of +P ammo to run the weapon full time bites.

Reliability- :turtle: :turtle: :turtle:

Bullets come out the shooty end. Spread is tight for an SMG with functional sights. Due to all the rounds expended to kill things with this weapon repairs will be happening often. Only takes ~450 rounds to drop the CND by 25%.

Overall usefulness- :turtle: :turtle:

Does good enough until you have a 10mm SMG operational. Then it's discarded, never to be used again and the ammo is broken down to make more powerful ammo for other guns.

44.Magnum Revolver

Great in a Casino fight....and that's it. The .44 rounds should be leaving the muzzle of a Trail Carbine.

The 44. Magnum I would rate it overall a 3 to 3.5. Damage wise its one of the better pistols but it lacks in comparasion to the 12.7 mm Pistol. Thankfully the 44. Magnum doesn't take as long to reload as the weaker .357 Magnum. 44 calibur ammo isn't as common as say 9mm ammo although late in the game you shouldn't have any problems finding ammo for the 44. Magnum or the Mysterious Magnum.

Edited- Anti Material Rifle I would rate a 5 out of 5 the only problem I have with the Anti Rifle is that it takes long to reload like 4 seconds and during that time you could get killed by an enemy. Other then that its one of the best weapons in the game just make sure you take weapon requirements at LV 16 or LV 18

Anti-Material Rifle

Damage 4.3 / 5.0 (12.7MM Beats this gun in damage.)
Ammo Availability 0.9 / 5.0 (Only gun runners carry this ammo I believe..)
Looks 2.0 / 5.0
Crowd Control 0.0 / 5.0
Stealth 0.0 / 5.0
Long Range 4.0 / 5.0
Reliability and Iron sights 2.0 / 5.0 and 3.5 / 5.0
Overall Usefulness 2.3 / 5.0

While its a great gun, It's not worth using unless you meet all the requirements, And the ammo for it can cost a pretty penny.

The 12.7MM Weapons are more reliable.

9mmSMG-3 (does what a SMG does, but doesn't change the fact it is the smallest SMG in terms of caliber)
.44Magnum-4 (Ammo not growing from the ground but more then enough, still a powerful side arm)
AMR-1 (High Strength requirement, Heavy and extremely low rate of fire)
but it uses the same ammo as the superior Trail carbine

That is unreasonable, how can you compare a rifle to a pistol just because they use the same round? This is like comparing Laser RCW to Tesla Cannon.

Anti-Material Rifle Ratings Out of 5:

Damage: 3
-Great DAM, abysmal DPS

Accuracy: 5
-It just doesn't miss at any rage outside of user error.

Ammo Availibility: 5
-Yes, the ammo is in small numbers, but you'll only fire ~100 rounds during the entire game. Unless you have a urge to give every coyote you see a .50 MG round.

Rate of Fire: 1
-Takes forever to chamber the next round.

Looks: 3

Overall: 1
-Great when used in it's role of deathclaw hunting. In hardcoe the weight is just crushing with the gun and 40 rounds of ammo weighing in at 30Wg. There are several weapons the weigh much less that can deal with Deathclaws just as well. So one can skip this gun and not really miss it.
