The sniper was way too strong in the beginning so i never used it, I would always use a rifle with an attached scope.

I was expecting a change like that. The sniper is for sneak attacks not regular attacks.

So now the rifle that fires the .308 round is less powerful than the rifle that fires the .50 BMG round. Seems just about right.

Now they just have to make it so I can shoot the Anti-Materiel Rifle through the engine block of a car and I'll be set!

It would be awesome to see the anti-material rifle shoot through multiple people.

I was thinking the exact same thing. Shooting through doors and windows would also be awesome but I think that's a little too much for this type of game engine.

I'm eager to test out the decreased dmg. sniper. That is, whether it's still awesome for sneak sniping but more challenging if you're too lazy to switch weapons when not sneak sniping. I mean, a few hits vs. 1 hit...not a huge difference to me, since I think the game is combat-easy even when it takes several bullets (non-VATS). It would be nice to have a bit more challenge with my fave weapon!

Is the DPS the same or is it a lot lower too? I ask because the DPS is usually what companions go for...may have to start giving Boone the All-American/carbines all the time now...

Be prepared to not normally need to even draw your weapon, then, hahah.

Nerfed sniper is all the more reason for me to use This Machine. Just playing with it a little this morning makes me want to kick myself in the ass for letting it sit in the Silver Peak shack with all of my other unused things.

If you mean companions and the AA, yeah, I know. Rat-a-tat-tat. :D

I assume This Machine hasn't been altered then? I've always loved This Machine.

It seems especially bad with Boone, since I think they tend to go for the head more than other companions. I don't think This Machine has been changed though, at least, I've noticed nothing.
