I'm surprised the monorail hasn't derailed : Fallout: New Vegas

So while I was over by the Aerotech office park. I was doing nothing of importance, and I looked at tha monorail line exiting McCarran and I notice something. If you follow the rail it goes in a -----_ -----_ --- line. Damned Pre-War technicians can't build anything right :laugh:

lol, the monorail must go so fast that a few missing/misaligned tracks make no difference. It just skips across them! :bolt:

Those lower sections of track are part of the Pre-War Transportation Overhaul Experiment by Vault Tec. It is a Suspensor/Repulsor Mark 3000 Rail System. The Monorail actaully rides several feet above the track floating on a Magnetic Quark Wave Particle Field. However the bombs fell while they were waiting for the rest of the track to be shipped from Paraguay.

You forgot about the Positronic Electron Nulifying Internal Sequencer that makes the monorail's Free-Ion Stasis Tachyon Optimizer work properly. Without that, the monorail would implode into itself and sink into the next dimension which just happens to be inside Cass' favorite whiskey bottle.

I believe the subcontractor for the rail sections themselves may have been House's brother. The lawsuits were bitterly contested, and while most of the transcripts were lost in the years following the war, some fragments still exist.

Here's an excerpt from the last hearing date in 2077:

MR HOUSE: Those Rails are as God intended! God! Mark three thousand is from God! Nyah! (Mr House waves arms) You Communists think you're gonna steal my thoughts-- my hair-- I'll-- you got another think coming!

JUDGE LAWRENCE: Mr. House, will you please sit down and--

MR HOUSE: And you gimme my secret hat back or so help me-- (Mr House knocks over chair)

JUDGE LAWRENCE: Mr. House--

Mr House leaves courtroom, slams door.
