hardcoe re: ED-E

Hi

First time using the forums so please feel free to tell me if I'm posting this question in the wrong forum etc.

Ok, my problem is I'm currently on my 2nd playthrough (hardcoe - 360 version) and upon my first visit to the Mojave Outpost, all the NCR officers and ED-E started freaking out for no apparent reason, which resulted in me losing a companion straight off the bat. Is this some sort of bug as iirc ED-E was a tad temperamental in my first playthrough, but wasn't once attacked by the NCR or was i just fortunate during my first playthrough?

Do the NCR have an issue with the bot due to its enclave connections? That would make sense if it weren't for the fact Veronica and the NCR don't spaz out when they encounter one another.

the whole point in playing hardcoe is taking risks, knowing your companions can die etc, so I'm not gonna reload a previous save as to resurrect the bot because I'd lose interest knowing i had done so.

Just a bit miffed if this turns out to be a glitch.

Until 360 gets the latest patch don't place any food/drink items on ED-E, Rex and Lily. A hungry NPC sees this food/drink and concludes the only way to get it is to kill that follower. These three followers are counted as creatures and not full blown NPCs, so to the rest of the game's NPC they're fair game when they happen to have something the NPC in question is looking for.

Thanks for the response.

Good to know. Looking in his inventory, he did have a steak or 2. Always wondered why he'd go on a massacre for no apparent reason. Haven't used the other two companions, so that's useful to know.

Thanks again.
