I love hunting in this game, I remember I shot this one gecko when I was looking for kills and I crippled it's neck, And it started walking like a zombie. (Classic Zombies, Arms out, Head low, And walking sloooow.) and it followed me from Goodsprings all the way to New Vegas, I protected it of course though.

I like hunting in the areas around new vegas.also sorta random but I went to the mole rat ranch north of vegas and the mole rats were all killed by one brahmin I dont know how it got there but everything was dead I saw it kill the last one.

I was hunting bighorners with a gauss today and found out the physics engine is weird. The advlt bighorners would fly much further after I hit them than the babies did, even though they have more mass and should fly less. Good times.

Also went the FO:NV version of snipe hunting too: Was walking to Red Rock with Ed-e and decided to snipe the mantises on the way just as soon as they came up on radar. With Ed-e's enhanced sensors perk, that's a long damn way. Took forever to shoot those little buggers.

Even though I wouldn't dream of so much as prodding a living animal with a stick in RL, I love blasting Bighorner heads off with the riot shotgun. For some reason shooting geckos is also strangely fun until they make those cute-as-heck little noises that just make me feel they belong more in Avalar than in New Vegas.

The Lady (That is my character) Veronica and ED-E going towards Novac from The Strip (The west part where the Fiends are) and seen a Large Rad Scorpion from afar. So the three of them start sneaking behind the scorpion from a distance (Sneak 23) with the gun out. This went for two minutes in real time. Aimed at the scorpion and BANG one shot kill from 50 meters away. Sneak Attack from a fulling fixed hunting rifle. Guns 85, Repair 80. Level 24.

I was out hunting deathclaws in Quarry junction.
I however had a foul NCR rep, so had to go in diguse, who else here knew thta Snufles is a guard moleat?
Spotted through my disguse everyone else did not.
So I was being very very slowly chased around near Q junction as a melee character, by a frenzied limping berzerker god of a creature that I did not want to kill.
As some very cool almost a modern benny hill chase music score popped up.

Yeah hunting is great fun,
Didn't think the Hunter perk was worth it, boy was I wrong.

I remember I was hunting Deathclaws one of my playthroughs, Arcade was nearby and was giving me away, And I saved RIGHT there.. (Big mistake..) amd Arcade ALWAYS DIED.

It made me want to cry.

Oh boy been there I kept leaving Veronica at the entrence, I cleared out the entire area solo.
Only to come back and find one slipped past me and killed her while I was out of reach of the NPC has died pop up.

My favourite hunts are Geckos, but those I like to kill for revenge are scorpions.
Hunting shotguns are however the best hunters weapon for my playstyle.
